A multible misfire could be wires, coil.

  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
  • Faulty camshaft position sensor
  • Defective computer. If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. if you smell rotten eggs smell in exhaust, its a bad covertor. hope this helps you ! have a great day !!

Is this a Ford 5.4 liter Engine (TRITON)?

There are 3 steps that you need to do, Do a Compression test of 1, 3, 5, 7 and annotate the compression but this is what you are going to find

There is ZERO COMPRESSION on #5 Cylinder. The problem you are having is common but not widely known. If this is the 5.4 Liter engine, you will find that the Valve Cam pushes on the Valve Stem and it has slipped off and causing your issue.

    Other Issues can be
    a. Coil Pack, Swap with another Cylinder and see if the problem follows
    b. Clogged Fuel Injector, Swap with another Cylinder

Once you find out where the problem moves, you can repair or replace the problem. If it is the Cam/Valve Stem Rocker, then you have to pull the Valve Cover and put the Rocker back on, there are keepers now available to protect it from happening...

My 2000 nissan maxima se has a misfire i can hear it through the exhaust and when im driving. say i put on the gas hard and let off, it will make a loud kinda of reving noise. it had 300k miles on it when...

More than likely, the culprit will be one of the ignition coils located on top of your spark plug. each plug has it's own coil and can be changed individually. Be prepared to change out multiple coils, especially if it's hard to get to it. You won't want to replace another one later when you already had access. You can expect to pay anywhere from $80 - $150 for one coil. While your at it, you may as well get some spark plugs and replace those too. No sense having to take everything apart again to fix a worn or faulty plug!

Random multiple misfire P0300, P0302, P0304 on 2006 Kia Rio

A competent mechanic will check all probable causes associated with these DTC codes.
Code P0300: Random-Multiple misfire detected. Probable causes:
    1. Vacuum leaks, damaged hoses, or improper routing
    2. Fuel contamination
    3. Ignition system - Ignition module, coil, spark plugs and wires
    4. Fuel system
Code P0302: Cylinder 2 misfire detected. Probable causes:
    1. Control unit software in need of updating
    2. Faulty PCM or ECM
    3. Faulty fuel injector
    4. Ignition system
    5. Fuel system
Code 0304: Cylinder 4 misfire detected. Probable causes:
    1. Control unit software in need of updating
    2. Faulty PCM or ECM
    3. Faulty fuel injector
    4. Ignition system
    5. Fuel system

Be sure the invoice enumerates all of these probable causes as having been checked. Also, some of the replacement parts installed earlier may be faulty.

Engine cranks but wont start has an obd p 300 &p304 help me

P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected, the 304 is for cylinder number 4 any of these could be wrong If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors. Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open

Trouble codes for saturn ls2 car is showing the following trouble codes. po300, po306, po451 p2bo3 and c112b

    P0300 Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

    P0306 Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected

    P0451 EVAP Pressure Sensor Range/Performance

I have no idea what those last two are. Typo, maybe?

Your first two codes could be caused by old spark plugs and/or leaking plug wires.

Your EVAP code could be a bad fuel tank pressure sensor or a malfunctioning EVAP system. With that code, if you remove your fuel cap and get a whoosing sound, then it is an issue with your EVAP system not properly venting the tank. If you don't get that sound, then the tank pressure sensor is bad.

    Hi, I have a 1997 Porsche 993. Motronic 5.2 M07. I am getting these fault codes 1) 62 misfire emissions-relvant 2) 51 Cylinder 2 misfire emissions-relevant) 3) 54 Cylinder 5 misfire ...

misfire :-------- try checking your 02 sensors /fuel pump and filter.

    for 51 cylinder misfire :---
Change the coil. Period. Very easy to remove from the vehicle if it's a 4 cyl. Follow that spark plug wire from the spark plug to the other end. What it's attached to you should replace
for 54 cylinder 5 misfire :---First you have to eliminate the most obvious problems, like spark plug and spark plug wire. If you replace those and you still have a misfire, then it's a good idea to look for a vacuum leak in the intake manifold
