Get a phone book out and find transmission shops in the yellow pages under auto repair. call a few and ask them how much to remove, rebuild, and reinstall your transmission. then you will know how much it costs, and where it can be done locally.

No, he's just giving you a line. It should shift like it used to. You got a warranty tell them to fix it. Transmission shops can be a big ripoff. Charge outrageous sums and replace a solenoid, Not saying this is what happened in your case, but I have seen it. I do actually know some honest mechanics. Again you have a warranty have them fix it right or ask for your money back. I would

This is a well known issue for Odysseys from 2000 thru 2003. Honda improved the transmission in 2004. Basically, you need to make a decision. Trade in your vehicle while you can still drive it, or have the transmission rebuilt (or replaced) by a reputable shop; preferably before it leaves you stranded with an expensive tow charge. The transmission will eventually slip so badly that the car will not be drivable. I have a 2002 Odyssey that had exactly the same symptoms and I barely got it to the trans. shop in time.

It could be your Torque Converter slipping, have the car brought in to a transmission shop and have them do a transmission line pressure test. It could be a simple transmission boost valve that needs to be replaced to bring the transmission line pressure up to keep it from slipping.

See if the problem goes away when the brake pedal is pressed slightly to unlock converter. Have a shop verify line pressure, and provided no valves in the TCC hydraulic circuit are worn, replace the torque converter. Also, Lubegard Shudder Fix will at least fix this for awhile. Or try a transmission flush by a shop that a dirty EPC valve screen could be causing a low transmission pressure.

Good luck and thank you for suing Fixya. .

1994 Ford E350 transmission seems like it slips at 45-55 MPH.

If you went 1k miles since that same issue occurred I would look at the transmission. A faulty torque converter, clogged fuel filter, or a clogged CAT can cause a delay in the shifting but it would happen right away not 1k miles later.

Adding Stop slip to a manual transmission with not keep your clutch from slipping. Replace or adjust the clutch.

Gear is slipping

this is something that a transmission shop will have to fix. also sounds like the sensor on shifting of transmission isnt receiving proper shifting signal.
