Question about 1995 Chevrolet Suburban

Open Question

I have a 1995 chevy suburban I just bought. the damper motor does not move the damper so the air only comes out at the floor. I went to a junk yard and got a new damper actuator. that did not fix it. when I switch from floor to vent etc. the acuator only turns a degree or so. I then went back to the junk yard and got a used controller. the actuator does the same thing. I opened the cover on the acutator and played with the gearbox. I removed one of the gears and the motor wants to possition correctly. Now I am back looking at the controller. what are the odds of haveing two controllers with the exact same defect, even if they are used? it seems that the acuator is not getting the proper signal, so I am going to get my multi meter tonight an check for voltage changes at the acuator. Also pressing the fresh air button does not seem to do anything on both the origional controler and the one from the junk yard. Could there be other issues that are causing this besides the controller?

SOURCE: heater control 98 chevy s10 blazer

These trucks have a problem where moisture builds up in the heater box then freezes. When this freezes and you change your heater settings it breaks the shaft for the blend door. If this is what happened you should be able to look under the dash above and to the right of the gas pedal and you will see two vaccuum accuators one of them you should be able to wiggle around the linkage if it is broke. To fix this you need to remove the entire dash to get the heater box out which involves discharging the AC and draining the coolant because the heater core and evaporator come out. Please rate.

Make sure no one has kicked the vacuum hoses off on the passenger side under the dash . look under there and see if all hoses are still connected properly ..

Wipers wont park on 1995 chevy cavalier

Most of the time it is in the wiper transmission in side of wiper moter. thats where the parking cam is. Spray pb blaster or similar on motor shaft and linkage it may help. Fix the problem, if not replace the motor. You may be able to pick up a used motor at a junk yard to save $$$$. Good-Day!

Can you manually move a 1995 continental seat

Remove the motors and move it where you want then put the motors back in to lock the position. The heavy wires are the seat motors.

Blower Fan will not blow on 1995 Chevy Suburban

It sounds like your blower motor may be bad. I don't know if you know how to check power at your blower motor plug, but you can use a volt/ohm meter or a test light. If you have power (12VDC) , your motor is most likely bad. There is also a resistor block module which has 2 resistors on it. It controls the motor speed basically by restricting the power by directing it thru one of the resistors. The higher the resistance, the slower the motor turns, thus the 3 speeds for the motor. The resistor module is mounted on the blower housing and has 2 screws holding it in with a small plug connected. It is just about straight ahead of the passengers left knee.
You can get used motors from a junk yard pretty cheap.
Good luck

there is an electric motor that moves the linkage to change where the air comes out..its under the dash to the right of the gas pedal........the problem is likely the linkages form that motor to your blend door that directs the air.its called the Heater Blend Door Actuator
