On the rear suspension on a Pontiac Grand Am SE, there are 2 rods that come from the middle of the trunk over to the tire and one from the front of the wheel area back to the wheel. What are those rods...

I have been looking around and havent really found any thing, but can you put a v8 trans am motor in a 98 grand am gt coup


NO! the grand am is a front wheel drive car, the trans am is a rear wheel drive there is nothing that to to have in common other then they are built by the same company.

When driving the car it fishtails but only when there is ice or snow on the road any other road conditions it is fine


This is a front wheel drive vehicle correct? Jack up the car and see if your rear brakes are on. Also check that the emergency brake is all the way off.

When driving straight i here some kind of grinding


could be wheel bearing universal joint or simply a load of dirt or rust around the brake disc. I would think its a wheel bearing though

Removal & Installation
Front
The front wheel speed sensor is part of the hub/bearing assembly. Refer to Wheel Hub and Bearing Replacement in Front Suspension for service procedures.
Rear
The rear wheel speed sensor is part of the hub/bearing assembly. Refer to Wheel Hub and Bearing Replacement in Rear Suspension for service procedures.
