R2 Motor Kia Sportage 1993 model, newly overholeado, but turning on the power is taken, it does in almost 3 attempts and you have to speed it up and throws a lot of smoke. Sometimes I help pushing racked pump. The injection pump was overhauled and calibrated nozzles, and left him the same heaters. When the vehicle has warmed up no problems in the ignition, only when it is cold.

I assume this is diesel power sportage. most likely this is caused by low compression. have your engine checked for compression. pressure should be about 30kg/cm2 or 427 lbs/in2 when running at 200rpm.

Why does my kia sportage 1997 model doesn't start when the engine is hot but it's not on overheat mode engine? it's an R2 diesel engine.

indicates that the starter is suffering heat stress for proximity to an exhaust system
That stress can be from a failing starter motor or it needs a high torque starter to over come the heat problems ( a problem suffered by many ford falcon XD models )
pull the starter and have it bench tested / overhauled by an accredited auto electrician, check for recalls or service bulletins that suggest a heat shield be installed or ask for a higher torque motor that will overcome the problem

Heater blower motor.,Highspeed only works..problem??

9 out of 10 times its the heater fan resistor doing this. it has wires that corresponed to diffreent speed settings for heater fan. the resistor is beside the blower motor, Your Kia Sportage Blower Motor Resistor controls the heating equipment in the vehicle by opening and closing the fan motor. The Kia Sportage Blower Motor Resistor allows the heating and climate control system to control the speed of the vehicle's cooling fan. its under the passenger side glove box. undo 2 screws and disconnect the electrical connector. thats it!!

Blower motor speed not working

This is usually due to 1 of 3 possible problems.

  1. Bad blower motor resistor - attaches to blower motor and regulates fan speeds. Not uncommon to lose 1 speed at a time until you get stuck with only 1 speed
  2. Bad blower motor
  3. Bad heater control module - less likely but still possible the module is bad and the whole unit requires replacing

Fan motor problem

usually its the heater resistor that causes that. find it and check it out, this controls all fan speeds. its under the passengers side glove box, take off wiring then remove 2 screws and then it will drop out.

My 2006 Kia sportage blower motor quit. 40 amp fuse is OK. Thoughts on what else this can be?

Locate the motor, check if it is getting voltage when you turn it on, by probing the connectors. Another possiblity besides the motor is the motor control which control its speed. Newer cars usually have an electronic package located by the motor housing. It has a thermal fuse, that sometimes look like a resistor, that blows. and it looks like part of the circuit. Soldering tool is required to replace that. You can also check the motor by hot wiring it, but make sure it is disconnected, and isolated before performing the test. Otherwise you could fry up some electronic device.
