How do you know it needs a fuse replaced ? Probably not . Learn to test electrical circuit using a voltmeter . Battery power at the radio + good ground = bad radio . If the fuse is burnt , blown etc... electrical short circuit to ground . Fuse's do not just go bad . Electrical circuit problem . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .
The fuses are marked in the door panel of the fuse box. There are two boxes. One on the side of the instrumental panel. Drivers door must be opened. The other within the side of the motor . box will say . fuse- box . the cover of the box will show what fuse color , number. Volts etc.etc. and clearly will say for what ?tem. Like radio, lighter, cortesy lights, and it will be marked with a number. So installed fuse with same number.
Not sure which fuse it is, but it will be in your manual in the glove box. Your radio may need reset, though. Volkswagen has anti-theft radios and in some instances you will need to have them reset. Your manual in the glovebox will tell you if your radio has this feature.
The lights are powered by the dimmer switch in the headlight switch box. Power goes from there thru a 10amp fuse number 12 marked ILLUM in the interior fuse box. Then it goes out to the lights. You would need to know if you have power at that fuse.
For the radio I know you have to do this: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Then call the dealership as you might have blown a fuse for the rest of the problems. Good Luck!
no they just go out they are little single L E Ds inside radio and controls on the steering wheel. As for the dashboard some of the light can be replaced with bulbs but there is also LEDs in there as well. Hope it helps
