2006 Chevrolet Aveo Logo

My 2006 Chevy Aveo is making a high pitch whirring noise (kinda like a soft weed whacker noise) from the engine area it gets stronger when i press on the gas, and while it idles it stays constant. my check engine light is on but its been like that for a while, i think its on because of the O2 sensor. it doesnt seem to be messing up or overheating or anything but im worried that the noise could be a problem. i have just recently (about a month or two ago) changed the spark plugs and wires and there was no problem untill yesterday.

Let's stop using it & educate yourself

All vehicles have had check lights for 30
years now,so there is no excuse for not knowing
or driving more than a few days with ANY dash
light on.

You have a System Malfunction

Your not worred about anything
& are close to abusing your car.

You can think all you want but you
need to take action. Your car is very
expensive item that hardly anyone can pay
cash for & you depend on it,so get it
diagnosed & repaired

I was going to suggest the noise may be the
differential in the transaxle.

Part with it for a couplke of days & get all check light
issue solved first.
