Question about Chrysler Concorde

1 Answer

A/c WOULD NOT WORK. TOOK TO A GARAGE AND THEY TOLD ME RELAY WAS BAD AND CHANGED IT OUT. aFTER THEY SAID IT WAS "FIXED", drove away and noticed radio did not work at all, no time display or station display - they said it had power going to it. Door locks would not work at all. Dome lights would not work- when door opened or pushed at top or rotating brightness displey to left of steering wheel, and A/C unit display would not come on. Mech "THANKS" its the BCU but I feel he's guesing. Bought car used 2 weeks ago and all except A/C worked fine - except CD player.

Sounds like a case of selling a car, when the problems
become too stressfull & you bought it

Your shop tried but may not have been
in the upper 10% skill wise

Need the best place around & a
fresh start.

I think they had the battery disconnected
& ran out of knowledge when it can time to
give you the car back.

I won't even guess without the car to test

Replaced battery but check charging system comes on at message center and battery indicator comes on and dings as well

Could be the alternator as well. Might be a good idea to bring it to a garage where they can pull the error code off of the computer for you. This will tell you pretty conclusively where the fault is.

My 2000 Lexus RX 300 Sunroof is stock and is not closing. electric motor seem to be working but is stock in one position. any idea how to fix this sunroof?

I have the same problem..... took my 2000 RX300 to the dealer - was told they need to replace the motor and the tracks and quoted me a price of $4500.00...... NO THANK YOU.... This dealer will not sell parts for this to local garages. Can't believe they can get away with that. Since I don't really us it a mechanic told me to take it to a glass company and just have them seal it closed to stop leaks.

I have a 2002 VW POLO 1.2 The engine management light came on and the car started to ?shake? on start up until some revs were applied and then returned to normal. Took it in to the garage and they said...

i also have a 2002 VW Polo 1.2, which I bought in January this year. The first time i drove it the engine management light came on. I took it to a garage and they changed a sensor in the exhaust system at a cost of £350. I drove the car again the following week and the light came on again, I took it to the same garage and they told me it was unrelated and that i needed another £300 repair. Refusing this I took the car to my parents mechanic who told me that these lights are prone to coming at the slightest little thing and to ignore it if the car is driving fine and sounds normal. He said that if there was a genuine problem that you wouldn't need the light to tell you but that the problem would be obvious through the sound it made or by the way the car started to drive. He said he felt the sensors were over sensitive and were there largely to encourage owners to take their cars into the garage for expensive repairs which didn't need doing.
He told me to drive the car as normal and ignore the light. He said only take it to a garage if there is an obvious problem, otherwise I was wasting my time and money.
I now drive the car without worrying abou the light and so far I haven't had any problems.
Suggest you do the same.

Check engine came on took to garage for diagnotic check

Why not have 1 more scan done by a Chrysler/Jeep dealer. Sounds to me like the garage is lost on this one. Get a quote on diagnosis scan, doesn't mean you have to commit to repairs right away. I've seen more than one mechanic who had a scan tool, but didn't know what to do next when it comes to diagnosis.

their is a relay pack for the lights which is behind the lights and this relay pack is operated by the controls inside the car via the fuses ,well their is on the XJ like mine.why is it costly in your local garage just to remove an headlight and check the bulbs see how the system operates and familirise ones self with it.Sounds like your local garage is run by some geneticly inbreed creeps who think that mending a jaguar car that great proud monumentous mark of quality cars made in GREAT BRITAIN by real dedicated crafted car workers instead of detroit morons ,seems to think that because you have a jag your his next meal ticket so he can take his kissing cousin out.If you are having a problem with the dealership because they cant repair your vehicle then complain to jaguar cars coventry great britain they will sort the dealer out.another tip, try the ford garage as jaguar was owned by ford and and the mondao and lincoln are the same chassis and running gear, not sure about the electrics though but my XJ6 4ltr is all ford behind the dash.Sounds like its only a few blown bulbs to me though and the indicator might only be a dodgy bulb holder that needs a clean
