Condenser fan not engaging

Possibly low on refrigerant. When system is low on freon, it does not build up enough high side pressure to engage the condenser fan . When pressure is high enough. a high side pressure switch kicks on the cond. fan to maintain high side pressure. Have the system evacuated and recharged to proper level.

Want to add refrigerant. air conditioner not very cool. which is low pressure port for adding r134a coolant?

The newer cars have 2 ports. The large port which is the high side and small port, low side. The kit you buy to refill the air cond will fit only one of the ports and that's the small port. You don't want to hook up on the high side so, this is why ports are sized and the gauge will only fit one. The low side should be near the evaporator or on the evaporator.

How do you service a 2000 s-type jaguar air conditioning system. where is the low side or do you nservice thru trhe high side This is a great web site to look at for your air cond. needs. It's easier for you to see and read than to explain the in and outs. It's very easy to recharge. Just remember to use the low side port which usually the hose will fit on to only one fitting to your air cond. You do not want to hook up to the high side even if it were possible.

Air Cond. not working. Clutch does not engage

On the low port side (the side you put freon in) there is a low pressure cut out switch, pull it off and run a jumper wire across the two connectors, if the compressor kicks on the you are low on freon. and have a leak some where.
