Why is my 96 camry spraying coolant?

The overflow tank is not pressurised, so will not spray coolant around. The little hole is a breather. On the other side, possibilities are a cracked radiator top tank (it is plastic, and your Camry is about the right age to develop this), or a leaky hose or hose connection on the driver's side. Open the bonnet, wash the engine with a hose, allow it to completely dry, then start the engine and idle till hot, watching like a hawk with a torch to see where the leak appears. This is easier if you have a helper and the car is on wheel ramps.

I have a small factory manuel for my 1993 ford explorer but it does not show me how to change the raidiator. I need to do it myself can't afford a mechanic

to remove the radiator, first get adrain pan for the anti-freeze/coolant,then get down under the front of the truck and look for a drain on the right side/passenger on the bottom, back side. drain the fluid, then remove the lower hose from the radiator, now remove the top hose and the transmission lines on the right side( if it's an automatic.if not disregard) now remove the fan, remove the fan cover(shroud), take the four bolts ,two on each side, out and pull the radiator out the top.replace in reverse.

What does a p1296 code mean

1. Buy temp sensor and O ring. (if you are REALLY cheap I have seen these on E-Bay motors for like $4 - my stealership wants about $9).

2. Recommended while at the dub parts counter get some g12 coolant - just in case you loose alot - you shouldn't, but it would **** having to drive with low coolant in your bug to go get some. (done properly you will lose VERY little - if you are like me - see below - get the g12)

3. On the 2.0 engine the sensor is located on the coolant line coming from the top of the radiator and runs along the right (driver's side) of the engine. On the driver's side of the engine this hose connects to a "junction box" which has the sensor on top and facing the interior of the bug (4 wires).

4. If your engine has been cool for atleast an hour, remove the clip below the sensor by pulling it towards you.

5. Remove the sensor by pulling it away from the hose.
(note: I am a ******* and let the engine sit for only ~15 minutes...coolant shot out of the hose in a big blast when I removed the sensor - VERY VERY luckly none got in my mouth or eyes - just all over my hands - don't be a ******* - wait ATLEAST an hour or so)

6. Seat new O-ring on new sensor and make sure it is all the way to the top of the metal part of the sensor.

7. Insert NEW sensor in hose and press firmly downward so it sits in the hole snugly. Replace plastic clip below sensor on coolant hose.

8. Unplug 4 pin connector from old sensor and plug into new sensor - if the pins line up you should hear a tiny click as it locks into place - DON'T force it.

I want to flush the radiator... how do I do that?

FIrst drain the previous liquid in the radiator.

Take the Drivers side "fog light" out(only 2 screws), and access the bottom raidiator hose behind the light. Loosen the clamp and pull the hose away from the raidiator untill drained completly, put hose back on, refill with water, then drain again.(repeat as much as needed until flushed to your desire) I prefer to run the engine a few minutes between flushes, but "YOU MUST MAKE SURE ENGINE HAS COOLED" before draining the fluid.

Sounds like the water level is low. Often the water pipes are higher than the radiator and require bleeding when the car is running, see if there are any bleed screws on the hoses to release the air.
