Question about 1998 Chevrolet Malibu
Its not that hard . Look at the idler pulley for the belt there is a squire slot troward the front in the middle of the pulley . A 3/8 ths . extentoin for a standerd socket drive fits neatle into it put it on the wrench and push the tenisioner to the center of the engine . This will release the tention on the belt and it will come off. You may have to remove the fan shroud from the radiator and you may want to snap a picture of the belt routing on your cell . And install by pushing the tenisioner again with the new belt . A nd it would be a good idia to replace the tenisioner as well it is a ware part and is likely why your belt went in the first place
