Where is the crank sensor located on a 2001 ford escort zx2 model?

The Crank Sensor is on the block, below the Exhaust manifold. You will need a T-20 Torx bit to take loose the bolt that holds it in. The wiring for it goes down the block on the front side and is off the same harness that the coolant sensors are on.

There is a pin inside my coolant sensor for my 2001 ford escort zx2.what is that pin for? and how do i install my new sensor?

The later models of the ZX2 used a push in sensor with a retaining pin. You remove that pin and pull the sensor out. So far I haven't found a part store that carries that type and have had to get the sensor from the dealer.

Location of cam and crank position sensors

The cam sensor is located at the front right front side of the cylinter head, while you are facing the engine.---------- The crank position sensor located below the pcv valve that is located on block not the valve cover, its below the exhaust manifold. You will have to remove the catalytic converter to see the exact view of both the sensors. The camshaft sensor is on the head. The crankshaft sensor is in the block, just below the exhaust manifold. ------------ Thanks.Helpmech.

Having trouble finding a replacement engine cause i have heard they were **** engines, i was wondering if it was to complicated to swap with a 2.0 zetec engine?

All of the ZX2's have Zetec engines. The language filter blocked out some of your text so I don't know what kind of engine someone told you it was. As long as you get an engine from another ZX2, it'll be a direct drop-in. The only concern is if the donor had the same transmission as you do. If not, the crank sensor spacer will have to swapped from your old engine.

Where is the transmission level check plug on a 2001 ford escort zx2

If it is a manual transmission you will have to removed the speed sensor from the transmission. Fluid should be at or near the top of the gear on the sensor.

No spark

Is the coil pack working at all? It could just be a simple ignition ground gone bad, or even a power wire corroded to badly. Also, clean the connections between the plugs and wires, and also the coil pack and wires.
