Hello and welcome to FixYa!

You may have few misfires that's why it has a little thump though the idle is good. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you replace the spark plugs. If the spark plugs has big gaps, covered with carbon or just faulty, misfires can occur.

Once the spark plugs are replaced, you'll have better fuel burning, eliminates fuel flooding and will definitely get rid off misfires.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

I have jag 2000 s type im getting enigne fail safe mode sign i went jag dealer they gave bill of $1093.89but problem is still there i have 129000 miles on it ,when sign comes i feel little bit of power...

First try to find a Good Independent Jaguar specialist, as these tend to give much better service on difficult problems than the main dealers who always seem to just want to put new parts on your car and give you a massive Bill ! Fail safe mode can be caused by many things. faulty temp sensor - throttle position sensor - air flow sensors- faulty coils - the list is endless ! Get the codes read on your car by a specialist - this history will show areas where the fault lies. If the codes are not too clear a running monitor test on your car when in use can help to identify the problem area. But make sure you take it to a GOOD garage ! Don't panic as the fact that the car is still drivable and the fault resets when restarted shows that the problem is in one of the electronic sensors - components or could even be a corroded wire in a cable loom. There is a list of known problem areas and reoccurring faults that will be known or accessible to a Jag specialist or Good Garage. Hope this helps - good luck.

Occasional bumping feeling in the steering column

I can think of one of two things:
Make sure your power steering fluid is full. My Bonneville was low, and it did some weird stuff.

But more likely it's your intermediate shaft. This shaft looks like a mini drive shaft with two miniture u-joints. It's located at the end of the steering column and passes thru the firwall. It's about 12 inches long. It has a slip spline that starts to not-slip, and you will feel a light thump in the steering wheel when turning. Sometimes thumps a little, sometimes alot.

There are several articles at the forum at: http://www.naioa.com/v2/modules.php?name=Forums

I decided to just pull my steering column on my 2002 Impala and lubricate the spline with regular grease.

I feel a thump thump thump on the right front side when I drive

Really need a visual inspection before I can say anything. It could as simple as something stuck in the tires. I recommend having it looked at by a repair shop.
