Question about 2000 Chevrolet 3500
This is likely a PMD or pump mounted driver which is the black box on the side of the injection pump. These have had problems with heat saturation and a kit has been adapted for Hummer for the same reason. The kit reroutes the PMD to a cooler location preventing damage. Be careful, the PMD will have a small circuit board where the elctrical connector is and will need to be pulled out and placed in the new one prior to installation and hooking the electrical connector back up. Let me know if you need anything regarding this.

1. Replace the fuel pump relay.
2. Change the fuel filter.
3. Test the car. If the problem still occurs replace the fuel pump.
