Question about Renault Sport

Open Question

I have a renault megane 2000 1.6 coupe. there is a rattle coming from under the car beside the lower engine mount. It is from a part of the clutch mechanism because when i push the clutch the (shaft???) which rattles moves back and forward. I think there is a guide of some sort to stop this from rattling which has fallen off????? I need to find a parts diagram of the underneath the car so i can identify the problem. Please help this is doing my head in!!!

Zigzag light on megane scenic dashboard comes on car revs high then low usually stalls then coming to a stop. 1998 renault megane scenic rt manual. thanks

this exact problem on a megane coupe is caused by a small air pipe that connects to a 2 inch wide black box that is located under the bonnet near the windscreen on the passangers side. the zigzag light indicates an electrical fault (in this case lack of compression and will affect your revs) if you find this pipe and it has snapped off. the reason for this may be that your engien is lose and moves. grab the engien with 2 hands and see if you can wobble it with allot of play. if so your engien mountings need replaceing. you may also experiance juddering in low gears

I HAVE A RENAULT MEGAN COUPE 01 PLATE .WHEN I CHANGE GEAR THE GEAR STICK VIBRATES ALLOT AND MOVES BACK AND FORTH I THOUGHT IT COULD BE THE ENGINE MOUNTS NEED DOING

It does sound like engine mount , if you open the bonnet and get someone to lift the cluch while the handbrake is on, then whilst looking at the engine it should apear jump up on whatever side the mount is broken on. Try this in reverse and 1st gear try to avoid stalling the car and once you have confermed the fault avoid contiually jumping the engine as it can damage other engine mounts/parts.

Your clutch is either wet with oil , or you are riding it oo much and making it hot. Push it all the way in when you are stopped. Don't hold it part way, or you will burn it out.
