Hello: I don't think you can remove that feature. It is part of the remote door lock module. You might try installing a Remote door lock module that does not have tire pressure monitor option but I have no experience that it would work, plus it would have to be programed.

Wheels were changed on my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup and I get a continuous light for the tire pressure monitor system.Won't reset so what is my problem and how can I fix it?

If just the tires were changed and you still have the original rims on the vehicle then you may just have a bad pressure sensor in on of the rims or the system may need to be reprogammed to recognize the sensors. If the RIMS were also changed then the replacement rims may not have the pressure sensors in them in which case the light will always be on since the system is always looking for pressure sensor signals that aren't there. If the rims were replaced and don't have the sensors you can purchase and install new sensors in these rims and program them so the system will recognize them.

Hi, this is indicating a low tire pressure issue. The first thing to do, is check all of the pressures, according to the list on the label of the driver door. I say check all, because, if you have had the wheels off, new tires, brakes, or rotations, the relearn may not have been done, and the tire positions, may not be as described. So check all pressures, and if 1 is low, this is the issue. If they are all good, and the light persists, you need to visit the dealer, as you may have a problem with a sensor. Good luck...Coop

My tire inflation light is on how do you reset it

You can take it to a tire store and they can reset it provided they have the tool to do it which most bigger shops do or you can take it to the dealership to reset it. Could be one of the sensors itself. You need to check your air pressures in your tires first though. 5 lbs of pressure one way or the other can set them off.

Low tire pressure indicator lights up even after

working with these types of tiures on a daily basis ive seen inexpereineced lads break the sensor mounted at the valve stem (inside the tire of course) if your display tells you which tire is low i would have it removed and inspect the sensor. that is if oyur pressures are set corectly, also there is sometimers a reset button and just plain driving around will someitmes clear it to normal.

Tire pressur warning wont come off

bring tire pressures to spec . Drive vehicle for approx 20 miles. Computer will reprogram.....hopefully. If not, air pressure sensors will have to be tested with any faulty ones replaced by a tire installer.

Gmc sierra 2008 low tire pressure problem

You can follow this to reset it.
Ignition ON, initiate the TPM Learn Mode
using one of the following procedures:

  1. On vehicles equipped with keyless entry, simultaneously press the keyless entry transmitters lock and unlock buttons until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
  2. On vehicles not equipped with keyless entry, press and release the driver information center (DIC) INFO button until the TIRE LEARN message appears on the DIC display. Press and hold the SET/RESET button until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
  3. Increase/decrease the tire pressure for 8-10 seconds then wait for a horn chirp. The horn chirp may occur before or up to 30 seconds after the 8-10 second pressure increase/decrease time period has been reached. Once the horn chirp has sounded, the sensor information is learned and the turn signal in the next location to be learned will illuminate.
After the horn chirp has sounded and the right front turn signal is illuminated, repeat step 2 for the remaining 3 sensors in the following order:
    3.1. Right front

    3.2. Right rear

    3.3. Left rear

When the left rear sensor has been learned and a double horn chirp has sounded, the learn process is complete and the RCDLR exits the learn mode.
Ignition OFF, adjust all tires to the recommended pressures
