Question about 2004 Cadillac Escalade

1 Answer

I have a 2004 Escalade with 123,000 miles. When I'm driving my car there is a very loud vibrating noise coming from under the car. Its not just in the front of the car, seems like it comes from the back as well as the front.

Loud Vibration / Sound Under Acceleration And Starting Engine.

Get the engine mounts checked. A bad mount may allow part of the engine to lie on a body or frame part, allowing engine vibrations to become very loud. Torquing of the engine (under load) can cause the same type problems.

Without feeling the vibration, it is hard to speculate, but, my experience here is this: you may have a bad rear wheel bearing. It is covered for 5 years/60,000 miles by Toyota

Check the front drive axles and boots. A bad cv (constant velocity) joint can cause this.

Make sure oil level is adequate.

Also, this could be an exhaust leak that is being closed as the manifold and/or block heats up.

Is it only when you are moving?? If so then it could be your tranny, but i would replace the universal joints in the drive shaft first. hint hint cheaper first.
