Maybe there was a leakage inside, where you had covered it up. Or it could be a bad connection with the spark plugs in your car that are not letting it start. Take it to a mechanic and let them tell you what is wrong with it, AAMCO offers free car inspections, they might be able to tell you what is wrong with it.

I need to know if my 1993 toyota corolla is a 4 or 6 cylinder . where do i find this inormation on my vehicle?

pop the hood, look for the spark plug wires, count em. since that is a front wheel drive, the V shape of the engine will be a front/back setup rather than a side to side so there will either be 2 on the front and 2 on the back or 3 on the front and 3 on the back. it should be very simple to locate as the wires typically run overtop of everything in the engine compartment. the wires usually come in blue, yellow, red, grey, or black and are about 1/4" in diameter and run into the front of the engine in your particular vehicals engine.

I wash my engine today and hours later i whent to the store and it runs like it was back firing like i got water in to sumthang what can i do to fix this i have a 1993 toyota corlla 4 cellinder should i...

You wet the inside of the distributor and water is in the spark plug boot area you can remove the boot and let the water dry out , but dont remove the sparkplug all the way unless you know the firing order a good air dry will put you back on the road,(leave the inside of the distributor alone for now)

Cant find the firing order from my 1983 Toyota Corolla 4A 1.8

Corollas made from 1993 to 1997 had two engine choices, the 1.6 liter 4A-FE and the 1.8 liter 7A-FE (click here for many details, comparisons, and diagrams).

1993 toyota corolla fuel pump fues are relay

to check the fuel pump on you car you need to put ignition in the on position and open the butterfly of the MAF sensor that is mounted on top of your air filter. Toyota's fuel filter won't come on unless there is air going in the engine. your problem may not be the pump, so you need to check the pump properly.

Engine troubles

fuel injector cleaner could help... maybe check the order of the plug wires, if that doesnt help i know autozone has a free computer diagnostics your car is new enough for that and it would probably be the best way of figuring this out

Engine light stays on

I would fist see if it is coverd by a federal warrenty. If not there are other aftermarket converters that a descent mechanic could install. The first thing I would do is get a better opinion to actually see if it is the converter or somthing the engine is doing to cause the oxygen sencors to say it's a bad converter.Being a mechanic I found that the ethenol alcohol that is added to the gas is causing a load of problems the way the comp. work in the car.Try adding a good does of injector cleaner and run a fue tanks of Hy test gas to see if it gets rid of the codes.
