1992 olds cutlass supreme wont accelerate when pushing the gas pedal

Check oil first, Low oil sensor will shut down if more than a quart low. Change fuel filter, could be fuel starvation, change the air filter. stopped up air filter will put MAF sensor out of range. PERFORM OBDII SCAN SOON.

I have an 1992 ciera cutlass that acts like it wants to stall or stalls while driving, and after it stalls or i turn the car off it wont start back up unless i let it sit for 30-45 min. i've scanned it...

SOUND LIKE FUEL PUMP FAILING OR STOPPED UP FUEL FILTER, CHECK FOR FUEL PRESSURE SEE IF YOU HAVE FUEL PRESSURE, IF YES PROBLEM COULD BE EGR VALVE STUCK OPEN WHICH WILL CAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO FLASH.

There is a tool for that J-37089 . Or you may just sight it by placing the balancer on slightly on and make sure it doesn't touch the fins.

It wont shift down and when i come to a stop it stalls. I replaced the transmition lines and that didnt work

Does the transmission have TCC (torque converter clutch)? If so, then disconnect the square four wire connector on the side of the transmission and test drive. If the problem goes away, then the TCC solenoid is bad and must be replaced.

My 1992 olds cutl sierra wont start but headlights & dash lights work. No click when turning key-just silence. Tried another key. Had starter replaced a couple years ago (supposedly new). Any ideas...

First try giggling shifter or put in neutral. Let me know if security light is flashing.

Sounds like its not getting enough air then overfeulling .

Check the air mass sensor and air meter. also check all the pipes from the air box for splits etc.

If the transmission has a TCC (torque converter clutch), then the TCC solenoid could be bad. Disconnect the square four wire connector on the side of the transmission. If the problem goes away during the test drive, then the solenoid is bad and must be replaced.
