Yes you still can but it will affect the fuel consumption and will have some missing. But you can drive it fir a while until you get it changed. good luck

I also did some research and think it could possibly be the throttle body position sensor. It stalls when idle and also when it is put into gear. Gas consumption has been awful, but we didn't know why. Any opnion on which it could be? The MAFS or the TPS? Thanks for your feedback!

Well the MAFS can make it stall. So try to clean it with some MAFS cleaner and also clean the TPS and see what happens. Usually when one of these Sensor goes bad ,The ECM stores a code then the check engine light goes on. Do you have the check engine light ?

Yes. The check engine light is on. Took it to Auto Zone last night

My 2002 kia sedona won't idle until warms up, dies when put into gear ...any ideas??

Is the check engine light on? you could have a bad ignition fail sensor, TPS sensor, or bad o2 sensor. it could also be a bad mass air flow sensor or a vacuum leak. without a code to help pin point the problem I'd start by checking those things first. Maybe try unplugging the mass airflow sensor and start it up and see if anything changes.

2006 kia sportage, 2.7 litre v6, 4 wheel drive, starts and drive fine, is jerky when starting from a stop but smooths out once you get going. most prevalent leaving a stop and under acceleration through...

I would suggest to change out the O2 Sensors and replace the spark plugs, and also the PCV valve. Make sure your oil and water are at the proper levels. If these things do not solve your issue I would look for an air leak issue and the mass air flow sensor may be acting up.

Kia sedona 2.9 diesel 2004 have had fault codes checked by kia dealer they tell me it is the air mass flow meter code that has come up have tried two new ones exactly the same

check the air intake hose for cracks between MAF sensor and the intake. very common to crack underneath and cause the engine to set various engine codes.

Mar where is it and how to clean it

Do you mean MAF- mass air flow sensor? It is located between the air filter housing and the engine's throttle body. Clean it with a spray can of MAF cleaner, available just about anywhere. Or most any type cleaner that is safe for sensors.

My 2004 sedona has little power going up hills, my local machanic says the code( po431) means the bank 2 catyletic converter is bad, but which converter is bank2? also have a code -p01159 which no one...

The answer to your first question is the Oxygen sensor bank 2. Its the oxygen sensor after the catalytic towards the rear of the motor. For the other DTC there is no P01159 DTC, P0159 is Bank 1 Sensor 1 Oxygen Sensor bad, P1159 is an air intake leak or a MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor leak)

If you put your foot on the brake and your car stalls, that is a symptom of your brake booster going bad.

For it stalling on the freeway that could be a few different things, Idle Air Control Valve, the Mass air flow sensor
