Question about 2003 Saturn VUE
The security light explains it all. When the key, ignition, and TDM (theft deterrent module) dont communicate well, the car thinks that it is being stolen and goes into security mode, thus disabling the starter. Something must be broken, either the key ignition or TDM. Cost of all parts are pretty expensive. Ive had great luck with bypassing the entire unit. Saves money and future problems. Here is a link that explains the system and provides possible solutions. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/
