The PCV is on the crankcase. The EGR will be near the intake.

5.3 vortec using oil not leaking

How dirty is your air filter? Sometimes a dirty air filter will make it pull up oil if it can't pull in air. The other thing to check would be the PVC valve. PVC valves are cheap and I would just replace it.

Code P1491 is not the PVC Valve. It is the Vacuum Cut Valve Bypass Valve.
Which is located above and away from the egr canister under the driver side rear bumper it is round and have about 3 hoses connected to it. if it is from a check engine light that says look at vacume cut valve check the egr canisters purge valve some times they stick and throw the wrong code

I have a chevy blazer 94 S10 still quit on the road.

How is it running before it quits onyou. This could be the culprit of an egr valve. How many miles on thevehicle. The egr seems to die on a certain mileage pattern. Also youcould start by cleaning the egr valve before replacing it. This couldvery well help the situation, but this is just a guess. Hope thishelps!!

Mazda 626 2000 vibrates when idling and when I put the a/c on why?

Hello, It sounds like you may have a small vaccumn leak at idle, that is enhanced with the extra load of the A/C. There are a lot of other reasons that can cause this problem, but most of the time it is that. A stuck PVC valve can cause the same thing because it is a vaccumn leak in the engine when it gets stuck open. Another is the EGR valve also being stuck open and/or dirty. If you are familure with engine operations they you can check the above problems out fairily easily yourself. On the vaccumn lines you can look at the connections and see if the lines have developed cracks along the sides where they are pushed over the connection pipes. The PVC valve can be cleaned or replaced if plugged up or stuck. The EGR valve can be checked with a vaccumn guage installed on the engine and the with a piece of hose attached to the EGR valve, you apply vaccumn to the hose and the engine should start running worse and shaking with the vaccumn leak as the valve opens. They usually get plugged up with carbon and the start leaking and finally exceeds the ability for the ECM to correct the leak. These are just a few of the common problems that can cause your type of shaking problem. I am also assuming you have kept the maintenance up on the vehicle, i.e.: tuned up, oil changed, etc. or some of the problem could be coming from them also. Good Luck, RAC
