The vent tube for the gas tank and filler neck is probably clogged or pinched shut. If you get under the car and look at the filler neck you should see a 2nd tube coming off of it, that is the vent tube.

When adding gas in the Jimmy gas is pouring out from line.

You best replace the filler neck so it wont leak, and operate properly. I do not think a vacuum, vapor lock has occurred.

Gas Overflow

Sounds to me like a bend/kink in your filler neck, or someone stuffed a rag down there.

Remove the fuel filler cap and run a long, rigid wire down your filler neck - if you encounter significant resistance, remove the filler neck from the tank and investigate further.

Whta can couse the gas pump to stop pumpin while pumping gas in my car

a. There is a Restriction in the Filler Neck of the Vehicle
b. VENT TUBE is twisted and not allowing the Air to escape as the Gas goes into the Tank.

This happen to one of my customers and could not figure it out. Then I said "Let ME SEE".... So I disconnected the Filler Neck off the vehicle and found that someone put a Plastic Bag into the Filler neck and jammed it all the way down to the Tank...

I removed the Partly Melted Bag, reinstalled the Filler Neck and worked perfect

FUEL FILLER NECK ON BUICK CENTURY NEEDS REPLACING. CHECK ENGIN LIGHT ON?

I am not sure I understand what you are asking but I will tell you that is you have a faulty fuel cap or a leaking fule filler neck, this can cause a check engine light to come on. I have seen people leave the fuel cap too loose and the light come on then Screw it tight and the light goes off. Hope this helps

2004 jeep can not put gas in the gas tank

There are check ball valves in the filler neck and vent line that close in a rollover preventing fuel from flowing out of the tank. One or both could be closed. Has this Jeep been on its side or top recently? Another possibility is that someone has put something down the filler neck.

Can not fill 2002 Ford Explorer with gasoline.

Did you check the vent tube alongside the filler neck? If it is pinched or blocked with something, just what you describe will happen. The air in the tank needs some way to escape to make room for the gas, and it should be through the vent tube. If it's bent, pinched, blocked, you will have a hard time pumping gas in.

Car will not accept gas

try pulling back a little on the nozzle, the tank has an anti rolloverball in the pipe and this sometimes cause it to shut off when the nozzle is stuck all the way into the filler pipe
