If you are still interested, you may want to check out: http://www.safetyairbags.com/car-airbags...
That's the site for "Airbag Warehouse" located in Michigan. Their phone number is (313)799-2042 and they will be more than happy to help you over the phone with pricing, shipping (which is only $20) well as installation for $100 (if you're in their are). I was given quotes for both airbags for my 2002 Buick Rendezvous where (not including sensor/modules & labor) at $1200 EACH! "Safety Airbags" charged me $585 w/$20 shipping for BOTH airbag assemblies modules & sensor unit my exact make, model, year and interior color! Rob. B. Middle River, MD.

The airbags should cost between $1,600 and $1,700 plus labor.

You will need to get them from a Honda dealer and supply them with the VIN.

How to deactivate the passenger airbag?

Impact Depending (ID) airbags.
With the Impact Depending (ID) system, you and your passenger are given effective protection proportionate to the severity of the impact.

Conventional airbag systems are unable to differentiate between a severe impact and a lighter one. When they are deployed, they are inflated to the fullest level, making the airbag as hard as possible. In a low-level accident, this is not necessary.
The intelligent ID airbags are equipped with a two-stage gas generator. In a more severe impact, they inflate to their fullest level with minimum time delay, providing maximum protection for the occupants. However, when the accident is less severe, they allow for a slightly longer delay before deployment, protecting the occupants with a more gentle inflation. Whatever the severity of the impact, the airbags ensure that neither the driver nor the front passenger contacts the steering wheel or instrument panel.
A special weight sensor in the passenger seat registers whether the seat is occupied or not. The system can thus differentiate between a passenger and a lighter object such as a briefcase. If the seat is occupied by a weight less than 12 kg, the front passenger airbag is not deployed, saving replacement costs following a crash and potentially leading to lower insurance charges. The front passenger airbag can also be deactivated using a key switch, when a child seat is fitted.
finding a kit to disable the airbag is not going to be easy, noone including dealers will sell or install them on any bimmer,
you could find a kit and buy individual replacement parts, but,i wouldn't recommend it,much less recommend switching the airbag off, personally,I would purchase and install a 5 point restraint that doesn't let the child move forward too much and pull the seat all the way back, the child will not be hurt that way, also in a low speed crash, bimmers dont fully inflate the bag, here is what one owner has to say on a forum about it,
I take my 3, 6 and 9 year olds for drives in my car. These cars are very safe, as is evidenced by my auto insurance premiums being only marginally higher for the Z3 than for my pickup and my wife's SUV. Of course we do have those vehicles for use in transporting the kids most of the time.

Several key things to keep in mind: use a booster seat so the child sits higher, to move the seat all the way back, and to not allow the child to lean against the door--you need to have adequate clearance there.

It's hard for me to believe a side airbag could be worse than hitting the door itself in a side impact--assuming the child is sitting a little away from the door to allow full inflation of the airbag before the child hits it

The airbag light stays lite on my 2006 express van

Hey, my mate had the same problem, just in a Mini, he went to a garage and they told him the sensor in the passenger seat was broken, and the entire seat needed to be changed, costing around 2.250$. He searched a little around and found an airbag emulator, that gets your system to think someone is always seated. In case of an accident the airbag will ALWAYS go off, on both driver and passenger seat. He found it on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main/ref=olp_merch_name_1?ie=UTF8&asin=B00E3C1IPW&isAmazonFulfilled=0&seller=A3VPDTQ49IXC7U - it is a quick fix, but a solid one.

Airbag light reset sx4

There is a manufacturer's recall on this if it's caused by a failure in the front passenger weight detection system.

The system has a minimum weight required in the front passenger seat for the airbag to deploy in an accident (if no one is in the front passenger seat during an accident, the airbag does NOT deploy). If the system fails and the car cannot determine if someone is in the front passenger seat, the light illuminates and in an accident the passenger airbag WILL deploy, even if there's no one in that seat.

The purpose of the system is to prevent airbag deployment for a lightweight child in the front seat. The fix is to replace the seat weight sensor mat...free if it's the recall item.

I HAVE 2 2007 MERCEDES C230 , ONE THE BOTH AIRBAGS EXPLODED, DRIVER AND PASSENGER, CAN I USE THE AIRBAGS FROM THE OTHER MERCEDES?, IS SAME CAR, SAME YEAR, HOW CAN I TAKE THE AIRBAGS? THE PASSEGER AIRBAG...

The airbags will fit and swap over. The drivers airbag can be swapped over by itself.. The passenger airbag you will probably need to change out along with the dash since it rips the dash in order to deploy;. The airbags are considered a safety item and a very crucial item at that. Unless it's your personal vehicle I wouldn't use the airbags out of another vehicle. If you are not familiar with the Mercedes airbag system then I highly suggest you have a trained technician do the work for you. There are two manufacturers for the srs control module and airbags. If you mix the two together they can accidently deploy while driving.

I started my 07 escalade esv in the morning about 1 weak ago and the service airbag light apeared and i was hoping it wold just go away in time but it dident i have about 120.000k in the car any cheap...

its better to go to service center and diagnostic tool will tell you which of your sensors or airbag module have the problem, i wish that no deployment happen because if deployed is commanded you will change the airbag main control module, repair acording to the dtc codes and diagnostic aid, if the problem is module such as side airbag, curtain, drivers airbag or the passenger airbag, you may connect the two wire by 2.2 ohms resistor 2watts. if you want little cost but the disadvantage is, what ever happen in your car, there is no airbag deployment even the computer will command to deploy in case of accident, my suggestion to you is not advisable but its about you

2000 Ford Escort SE repair costs?

If you turn it into insurance this vehicle could be totaled out. Aribags are not cheap. You also have to replace the sensors and module, as they are NOT reusable. The passenger airbag could be part of the entire dash cover, Windshields I have seen as low as 120 installed. Theo., you could have 600-1000 tied up in doing it yourself. Fyi I hit a deer , did not hurt my winshield or airbags. Cost 2500 to repair.

My SRS light comes on and off. I don't know what

It has to do with your airbags. Supplemental Restraint System. This light can be caused by a lot of things including any of the following:
  • Letting battery drain too low
  • Bad Sensor
  • Blown fuse
  • Unplugging the car’s battery
  • Removing the gauge cluster/installing aftermarket gauges
  • G-Force sensors that are under each of the front fenders ($250.00 each)
  • Bad clockspring (located inside your steering wheel)
  • Bad ECU
  • Bad reverse light switch on transmission
  • Car was in an accident
  • Airbag defective/unplugged

Disabling Airbags on Mazda 323f 1995

Well, for one you not suppose to put a baby seat in the front of the car. But anyways with an older airbag control system like that you cannot just disable one airbag, if you unplug the passenger side airbag then in an accident neither airbags will deploy.
