I suspect you have an issue with your temperature control blend door actuator. This is the device that controls how much cold air and hot air makes its' way to the dash vents. Your local mechanic should be able to easily diagnose and fix it.

Both heater an ac gone took car to dealer for ac problem now its both heater and ac

What A/C problem did you have , original complaint for taking to the dealer ? Does the blower motor blow air out of the vents , when switching from floor to center vent to defrost does air change direction ? What make model an year is your vehicle . Does your vehicle have manual or automatic climate control . Were there any codes stored in the control panel ? Mode door or temperature control problem ? Do you here any clicking behind the dash ?

When I start my heater it makes a ticking noise

Does the ticking come from the top of the dashboard close to the defrost vents I'd say about the middle of the dashboard? If so it may be you vent door actuator(switches the door to either blow cold air or warm air) that has gone bad and needs to be replaced, the only thing is that it's located on top of the air distribution box and in order to get to it, you have to remove the dashboard which is really a huge undertaking. I've had the same happen before to me on a Lincoln Town car. All i did was unplug it at the time since it never stopped once I turned on the AC or heater.

OUR 04 TRAILBLAZER, THE A/C STOPPED WORKING, IT WOULD WORK SOMETIMES AND BLOW COLD AIR NOW NOTHING COMES OUT, OR THE HEATER TOO.. LITTLE AIR WILL PULL THROUGH IF ON THE HIGHWAY, I CAN HEAR IT CLICK OVER...

a couple of things,1 blower motor fuse.2 blower motor gone out.3 switch on fan speed control switch not sending signal to fans.after checking the fuses.next check theswitch on control panel.set ac or heater.if fan still doesnt come on then replace it.when it work and then stops working there are a lot of possiblities that caused the prob relay too not fliping over inside staying close loop.hope this helps.

If sound comes from under the dash, it might be an hvac actuator that is having a problem? Sometimes you can put your hand on it and feel the vibration? Sometimes with a relay, you can do the same thing.

Ac and heater will go out for days at a time then work fine for a week. is there a relay or link going bad?

There is a relay in the fuse box but if an auxilliary electric fan is fitted this may have gone u/s which will cause a operating problem. Check the fuses in the box first, ther may be an intermittent connection.

Heater\AC no air in front 05 suburban

ase mechanic:

Sounds like a problem with the front blower motor. there is a blower motor resistor for the front blower motor that controls the speed of the blower and tends to go bad or fry out the blower motor. thats the most likely scenerio since you stated the control head was lighting up and responded to button changes.

Have a 2002 lincoln town car that the heater/ac fan just stopped working. fuses all look good and all indicators on climate control panel are functioning. 2nd time it's happened. first ime it happened...

could be number of things,a dashboard smack almost indicates a loose connection somewhere,if not that its either the blower motor itself going bad or the blower control module
