99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.8l V8 Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement. How can I tell if mine had a spacer on the mounting bolt.

I looked at info for 4.7L engine. I would have checked the cam sensor wiring circuits, before replacing anything. Three wire connector, ref voltage--ground--signal.
Some of these vehicles, the computer needs to see both the cam and crank sensor signals or it won't start.
Engine cranking do you have spark at the plugs--proper fuel pressure--fuel injector pulse?
I don't think I have ever seen a spacer on the sensor mounting bolt, but, I haven't seen everything.

Hello i have a 2004 kia sorento manual 4 wheel

Caaarburetor? It's fuel injected, isn't it? Check the compression of your cylinders. If the timing is right, the engine just needs fuel, compression, and spark to start and run.

99 kia sportage will not start and wipers, power windows, and heater fan don't work either

In the engine compartment fuse/relay box, check the 40A IGN fuse. If it is blown, the items you mentioned will not work. Replacing the fuse should clear up the trouble and you'll be able to start

I can smell fuel really strong and the car would stop and not start back up for about an hour. I had the fuel pressure regulator replaced and had the fuel pump and fuel filter replaced. The car still...

Replacing one injector is not good as the full set must be changed for best performance. the fault seems more likely with an overflow of fuel due to poor settings or fault in the fuel delivery.
It seems the fuel pump is the suspected part, you need to have a good calibration with a check for fuel leak or faulty gaskets. When the AC is ON , the power required is more and so the throttle opens up with more fuel. The firing intensity and the INGITION SYSTEM, the spark plugs must be checked. A look as the spark plug will indicate the firing and fuel condition. Also the exhaust analysis will give a good report of the un-burnt fuel which means a correction in fuel settings.

Not starting all the time

Possibly the vehicle will need a service when was the last time it was done , spark plugs deteriate over a time and need replacing after each service , air filters and oil filters also . oil is a frictionable material and will actually wear .. so the oil change is as important to the sleek running of your car as is the correct fuel ..
Corrosion or poor maintainance of battery and terminals is another prime reason for poor startining . blocked fuel filters another cause
a general inspection of these points should reveal any problems you may have with the starting ....... Regrds Vortash
