It depends on what you want to fix. If it's a fairly common repair for cars in general then a Haynes manual will most likely give you what you need. They have good descriptions and photos or diagrams to help the back yard mechanic. They also include tips and hints to make the job easier and warnings if something needs to be done in a specific way.
If you need to do something like rebuild the engine or repair the transmission or something else major, then you may want to look into getting the original service manual for the car. That can be gotten at faxonautoliterature.com. They list a mechanical manual as well as one for electrical. Haynes is not good at providing wiring diagrams so if that is what you are wanting then go to faxon.
You could also look at alldatadiy.com. It costs about $30 a year and is vehicle specific. The info you get will be for your specific car only. They assume that you have a working knowledge of car repairs, so tips and hints are not to be found although they do have good diagrams, a lot of exploded views. However, they are similar to Haynes and there will be repairs that aren't included in their info.
Hope this helps.

You will need to buy a Clymer workshop manual. First rule of taking things apart it to keep everything in the order you took it apart. These days you can also take cellphone pictures.

you can try this site which seems legit and has diagrams.

C/E light on for 1 code P0741, changed TCC solenoid, trans fluid, filter why would the transmission stop going into gear after previously shifting beautifully with no slipping or any issues at all.

Just because you installed a new part, do not assume it can't be bad. This happens alot with aftermarket parts. When you change just a minor part and a problem develops, good idea to double check both your work and the new parts.

Is there a trick to install the throwout bearing in a 2003 hyundai elantra?

Without fitting a new bearing to the release fork it is virtually impossible however, i managed to put one together by cutting an inspection hole just big enough to get your hand inside above the slave cylinder and manually meshing the release fork, bearing and spigot shaft simultaneously

Window want go all tha way up.motor works.cable wire inside door shredded.

do yourself a favor and buy a new regulator, the whole thing not just the cable. then pay a glass shop to install it for you. they have the tools, fasteners, and knowledge to take it apart and put it back together without any collateral damage. stay away from dealers. this is a common GM item which commonly fails in that exact manner. find a new one on eBay or at parts stores.

My 07 impala is losing anti freeze and nobody can find a leak is this something i can fix myself?

regarding the the last post that you first made if it is the headgasket, its definatly something only a mechanic should get into. you have to tear apart the top half of the motor an there is specified torque specs on alot of bolts that go into putting it back together, this usually in most cases not a cheap fix can run you anywhere from 1000-4000$ depending if theres alof of electronical components that have to be disconnected an reconnected

2001 Hyundai cigarette lighter replacement needed

Depending on where the lighter socket is, they usually just screw into a shell behind. Put your finger in the socket and turn the socket clock wise after you have place the the shell ion the bak of it. Ashtraay or dash, The back part is there uness it's on the floor. You will have to do some disassembly to intall a new one so why not just put yours back together. Nothing is broken, just came apart. Good luck If need be , go look at one at a parts store so you know what I'm talking about and understand better your objective.

Cruise control stop working can someone tell me how to fix myself

If all the brake lights are out it is likely your stop lamp switch is bad, it controls lights and cruse, and also supplies input to ecm/tcm. The old ones would just pop apart, you can put them back together but to replace the switch it is only 20-30 bucks. Try that.
