Question about Isuzu Trooper

Hi there! can you help me regarding my 2nd owned isuzu hilander? this regard to an air pressure coming out from the oil dipstick lever everytime i pulled it out! often times i notice a white smoke coming out from it whenever i drove my hilander in a long trip specially during hot and humid day! and there are times that the dipstick lever puffed up which i believe due to the pressure from the engine itself.i just wonder because the engine seems to be in good condition considering that it doesn't over heat. hope anybody there could help me regarding this. thnk u n god bless!

Why is my oil light comeing on an I jus gt a oil change on my 2005 magnum

Hi Hudd, I suggest you pop the hood and check the oil level on the dipstick. If oil is at the correct level, check the sender unit and wiring. If everything is fine with the sender unit and wiring have the oil pressure checked. If you have not had regular lubrication service carried out and the oil before the change was very thick and had lost lubricity, the oil pump and or bearings may have been damaged. Regards John

What went wrong with my isuzu hilander i just bought it a month ago and to my surprise when i checked it out yesterday i noticed a smoke coming from the dip stick oil gauge.what may have caused it?

Well, you seem to be talking about crank case fumes. Check the Positive Crank Case Ventilation system.

What matters is are you consuming oil, by that more than a quart of oil in say 1500 miles? if not, no worries.

If so, well ,while I prefer zero consumption, a quart in 600 miles is considered "Normal", I disagree, but that is what the manufacturers think.

Even so, the cost to repair outweighs the cost of adding oil....

Cannot find the transmission fluid port to add fluid.

Hi Clark,

The Transmission Fluid goes in the tube that houses the transmission fluid level dipstick.

I know, looking at the tube, it sounds insane. A long narrow funnel made specifically for this purpose is sold at auto parts stores.

Best regards,
Mike

Heating problem. help please

Hi,

It would seem that your overheated engine has warped the cylinder head and compression/pressure from the combustion chamber is adding to the pressure of the water/cooling system hence the spitting out. To verify, pls check your oil dipstick and see if the oil has turned to brownish milky color. If yes, then it calls for an engine overhaul, if not possibly air pockets inside engine water jackets.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
