Seat belts cary a 5 year 60,000 mile waranty from the manufacturer. if your car falls under his take it to your dealer. as far as repairing the seat belt, there is no repair procedures for seat belt due o the extreme liability with repairing this. seat belts typicaly are inexpensive and are available only at your local dealer.....hope this helps, your thumbs up is appreciated

hello from Fordland!
your dealer is able o supply you with a seatbelt extender at no charge. this is a courtesy that ford gives to thei owners. see your local ford dealer for details..i hope this helps, your thumbs up is appreciated....BTW, the right front and all rear seat belts have a child safety feature buil into the retractors. it will cause the seatbelts to cinch tight an not release once engaged, until the seatbelt has been fully retracted therby releasing the locking mechanism...this feature is only engaged when the retractor is pulled out to is fullest limits, at that point you will hear a ratcheting noise as it retracts....

Front seatbelt jammed

If the seat belt has jammed, you may just need to replace the mechanism- you want it to do its job correctly when you need it
For your information,--You may need to replace the mechanism for the seat belt. If the impact restraint system has encountered what they refer to as a stage one deployment due to a minor accident, the seat belt locks up, and even though the airbag(s) hasn't deployed, there are frame sensors that may need replacing reset.
We encountered this with my daughter's 05 Focus and needed to replace the belt assembly, and a couple sensors on the frame..

Need location of 2006 mercury mariner security module to get keyless door pad code

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer and I just found my keyless entry module. The module was behind the lower plastic panel on the passenger side rear panel right below the seat belt height adjuster. Not the panel with the seatbelt adjuster but the one below it. No tools were needed and it took me all of 5 minutes. Just pop off the front of the panel closest to the door and pull it back. Use a light and you can see the large 5 digit code on top of the module. Thanks very much to the people that contribute to this forum....Cheers
This is really where it is!

Passenger Door "Pops"

Sounds like the detent rollers on the door hinge are dry and need some grease (if the door has proper clearance on the front fender...check this first) spray some white lithium grease spray on the hinges and related moving parts on the door hinges upper and lower and the plastic guide that goes in the door... Let me know how it goes.

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer and the passenger seatbelt won't retract; so passenger cannot use the seatbelt. Subsequently, the seatbelt chimer never goes off. How can I correct this?

will have to take the side panel off where the belt is located make sure no twists are present. if not pull it hard and see if it retracts, if it still does not retract you may have to replace the unit.
the retraction spring in the unit is broken, or the lock mechanism has failed.

2002 Toyota Solara Convertible seat belts not retracting

The front seatblet retractor springs have weakened. Unfortunatly, there are no "user serviceable parts" on them. They would have to be replaced. How many miles is on it? If you have low mileage, the Toyota Customer Experience Center may provide you some assistance, as the belt replacements are quite expensive. I'd call the CEC and explain your dilemma.
