It depends on who told you. if you took it to a shop, they might just be trying to get money out of you. if it feels normal to you , then there shouldn't be a problem. if anything, change the clutch fluid. if it was a friend, then it could be that he just feels the clutch different than usual, depending on type of car he/she is used to driving. hope this helps. goodluck

I have Honda Civic VTI 2001, i installed it 2005 Civic VTI speedometer on my car, now the problem is fuel gauge is not working, but all other functions on new meter are working. Need help

these electronic instrument panels are very delicate so great care must be taken when working on them , make sure all wire connectors are pushed fully home , check at the rear of the fuel gauge for signs of corrosion ,burning ,etc in the printed circuit board , if nothing visable either it is faulty or not compatable , either way will need to be inspected by a auto electrician

My clutch gets noisy once i push on it before hitting a gear.. and i have an unstable idle, it goes up and down and sometimes my engine automatically turns off.. help please.. thanks.. by the way, my car...

It sounds like the thrust bearing has collapsed causing the noisy clutch. This means a gearbox removal and clutch overhaul. The rest is a case of a service and a tune up. but the important thing is the clutch.

My 97 Honda Civic runs good and up until now, no problems, but when I turn on the key to start it, nothing happens. Have new battery, fully charged, lights on dash do not go off when I turn key to start. ...

Bypass the clutch switch. If the car starts then replace the switch.
If this will not work, then you need to troubleshoot the starter, from the fuse up to solenoid. Might be anything from a bad fuse, bad relay, bad solenoid, corroded starter copper contacts, or a bad starter. Hope this will help.

You will need to remove the speedometer and have it repaired, it is electronic.

Removing emgine to change clutch plate in 1985 honda civic 1300 lx

I assume you are talking about the clutch to the transmission. They make a tool that will support the engine and allow you to remove the gearbox on most cars without removing the engine. It is a tight fit but much less work.
