Question about BMW X5
It could be a faulty sensor on a wheel assembly, the dealership would be able to scan the abs system and give you a fault code, a local auto parts store may well be able to do the same.
I'm sorry for asking, but did you check the fluid level and bleed the brakes? just a thought
