The drivers side window stopped working with the window halfway up. Before we look into replacing (possibly) the motor for the window, is there a relay that might have gone bad? If so, would it be located on the main fuse box under the dash?

First you check the fuses
Then the switches
Then open up the door panel &
put 12 volts to the motor connnector

If you pull the switches out you can check
voltage at them & you got the fuse, any relays
covered.

I personally only work off wiring diagrams
Any other way is just a waste of time & not even
a good guess at what your doing.

Ford Ka electric windows passenger works drivers doesn't. I replaced the switch and still nothing. If I diconnect the drivers switch the passenger window stop s working so there's some connect

The relay operates all the windows. The drivers door switch is the master and has to be connected for the rest to work. It sounds like you have a bad motor or a bad connection on the motor in the drivers door.

Why is my driver side power window not working

Tough to diagnose without being there but from my experience it sure sounds like either a bad window switch or bad window motor. Using a 12 Volt test light, try to determine if either of the 2 wires at the window motor receives power when you use push the window switch. If theres power at those 2 wires when you push the switch you probably have a bad motor. If not, then your switch is probably bad. A third but less likely possibility is that the window regulator is jammed. However,
you would hear some sort of sound from the motor trying to move the glass. You said you heard nothing. Hope this helps.

Driver side window motor not going up or down

You may be having problems with the motor drawing too many amps and kicking out a circuit breaker. If this is the case, you will have to replace the window motor.Check the window switch too.It can also be the cause of window not working. You can check both the window as well as switch with voltmeter or a test light to confirm which part is faulty. The window motor is a 12 volt electrical part.So check for the 12 volt to the motor connections. If the voltage is low then its faulty motor and has to be replaced. ------------- Also in your question comment you have mentioned that driver side window motor not functioning. So in that case before going for new replacement motor,i suggest to connect the passenger side motor to driver side motor connections and check. If the window functions with passenger side motor connected then its a faulty driver-side motor, but if the window not working with passenger side motor connected , then its not the faulty motor but the faulty driver side window operating switch. It has to be replaced. But in some cases it has also seen that parts like motor as well as switch are ok but the problem relates to short in wiring or the wires getting loose between switch to regulator or switch to motor. So confirm this possibilities also before going for any kind of part replacements. --------------- Keep updated with any more queries.Thanks.

Driver side window not working on a 2001 chevy xtreme blazer. The passenger side window works fine, but the driver window is stuck halfway.

Sounds like you are in need of a window motor/regulator.They are built together and should be replaced as a unit for the best results. It is inside the door and the door will need to be disasembled to get to it.I would recommend a service manual if this is something that you are going tackle on your own and havnt done this before.let me know how it goes.

2006 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Driver side window raises to top then lowers to halfway when you use the button in automatic mode. When using the button at halfway it works normally.

try pressing and holding window switch until window motor stops in down position, then pull up and hold switch until window motor stops..this should recalibrate window position..i hope this helps

My 1990 ford bronco rear window will not go up all the way. it goes down fine but when it starts to roll up it stops halfway up.

Your window fuse, relay or motor may be dying and no longer powerful enough to close your window all the way up. So as not to be repetitive, for the failure of your power driver side window and rear window, review this handy diagnostic article, which identifies the possible causes, from a bad fuse, relay to window motor, etc.:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Windshield_Windows_Window_Does_Not_Roll_Up_Down.htm

This should help narrow down your particular cause.
