I'm assuming you're running a pre-80's Ford here. The running lights were designed only to come on in the halfway position, just like on my '59 Chevy ( As proof, unless My Ford-Chevy knowledge is off). To turn the parklights to running lights, you will have to "tap in" to the headlamps wire.

The headlights and side lights wont turn off

Hi Rikki, Is this that the problem is you actually turn off the Headlamp switch and they do not turn off and you have to disconnect the battery or something? Or Is it your daytime running lights that come on when driving even in the daytime? If it is your daytime running lights if you turn your switch half way on ''PUSH it in'' and pull it out to remove the switch then count the bottom row of wires form the right to left and get the third wire in on the bottom , ''green'' and pull out this pin and tape it, it will turn off the daytime running lights. However, I really don't want to do the whole, ''why don't you go to the dealer to get it switched off BS'' stuff,
But personally I drive with my main beam lights on all the time, I manually turn them on in no matter what car I am in so I can be seen by all the idiots we meet on the road. Statistically it has been proven to reduce accidents but I have had people reverse into me etc. even with the lights on and horn blowing. If I am mistaken and you just cannot turn off your lights at any time I apologize.

My door lights want cut off

You will see something that sticks out half way up the door jamb when you open the car door and it's the dome light switch. Try pulling on it to free it because it's stuck. If that doesn't work, replace it.

First my daytime running lights would flicker and I could pull the light switch once and it would stop and now I have to pull the switch all the way on...I have a 2000 ford mustang v6

your switch is bad. had same problem on my 1970 mustang with the headlights flickering unless I pulled on the switch. I replaced the switch and they work fine now.

96 jeep cherokee se replaced head light pull switch

Have you checked the breaker and the hi/low beam switch for power? Did you look at the connectors in the switch plug? I have a really poor diagram that seems to be non-specific on this. Also, if you have a headlight delay module check that also.

Jeep headlight problem

Check the relay for you headlights. It seems like you are only getting juice when in hi-beams are on and not lo-beams. Or maybe the lo-beam portion of you headlights are burned out. There are 2 filiments inside the light, one for hi and one for low.
