Question about 2005 Suzuki Aerio SX

1 Answer

Radio/cd player will not come on, nor clock above on the dash...all fuses okay. Anything in the back that could cause this? The hatchback will not open and a friend took it apart yesterday and now the radio wont come on. It ejected my CD's (6 cd changer) but will not power on.

Might have some wires mixed up or shorting out somewhere to the body of frame of car ground so you can use a multimeter to test out where the short is at. First check out the radio to see when you have the car on and have the wires hooked up to it with the multimeter and check to see if there is any current going to it.

Which fuse is the cd player in the fuse box

One circuit is constant power to keep the clock and station pre-set memory maintained. The other is for the radio in general. If the clock works, pull both radio fuses and put them back in one at a time to see which one is constant power. If one of them is blown, you can usually see the wire inside it is burned with a gap. I don't believe there is a separate fuse for the CD player apart from the one for the radio. If the radio works but the CD player doesn't, I'm guessing it's an internal problem.

Radio, CD player, Sync, clock stopped working on my 2008 Ford Explorer

Most likely a fuse. If your fuse box is labeled it will say radio under the fuse. If its not check your owners manual for location of fuse box and radio fuse.

Replaced fuses in my 06 Matrix. Radio and clock are still dead.

The 15 amp dome fuse is in the fuse box under the hood and the 15 amp CIG fuse is in the lower finish panel up under the dash on the drivers side. These are needed for the radio. The above fuses and also the 15 amp Gauge fuse in the box with the dome fuse under the hood are needed for the clock.
So...since both are dead it is likely to be 1 of the first 2 fuses mentioned.

2001 Ford Taurus Radio doesn't work but CD player does!

Does your car have an automatic raising and lowering antenna? If it does check your fuses for it. If not pull your radio out of the dash, and check to make sure that the antenna wire has not become lose or unplugged from the back.

Cd player/car clock doesnt work

Most likely a blown fuse. I'm not 100% sure, but typically on the side of the dash where it would be covered by the drivers side door or under the hood you'll find the fuse box. The fuse your looking for will typically be labeled "CLOCK" or "Radio". Pull it and replace with the same size fuse.
