I won't even go into cheap
I don't go there

If you want you can look & buy online,
then the shipping is added & you save nothing

Look for prices on NAPA.com, etc

For me it is waste of time,go to the local
auto parts store & buy OEM quality parts

2002 dodge caravan engine light on code showing p0135 .please advice.thanks.

  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction - Bank 1 - Sensor 1
  • Basically the ECM Electronic Control Unit has determined your O2 sensor is taking to long to begin reacting properly.
  • The causes could be
  1. O2 heater element resistance could be to high.
  2. An internal short or opening in the heater element.
  3. O2 heater circuit wiring with high resistance.
  4. Open or short to ground in the wiring harness.

  • The fixes are
  1. Check the harness and connector to the O2 sensor for shorts or ground.
  2. Replace that O2 sensor.

  • Bank 1 sensor 1 location for this vehicle is located on the exhaust manifold back by the firewall on top of the manifold..
  • Thank you for using FixYa

Engine light on--when do scan shows code P0135

P0135=O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1, sensor 1)

O2 sensors have built in heaters to help them warm up faster. The O2 sensor in the No.1 bank of cylinders may have an inoperative heater or the wiring to the heater element is damaged. Changing that O2 sensor may correct your problem.

P134, p0141, po300, po130 and po135. 2005 Sunfire.

Given that most of the trouble codes are for the O2 sensor, I think I would change it. The multiple misfires could be because of improper fuel/air mixture caused by a bad sensor. Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal then change the sensor. Disconnecting the negative(-) should reset the computer and allow the fuel/air mixture to return to default allowing the engine to start.

P0161 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
check the wiring to the bank 2 sensor, that is the one behind the catalytic converter on the opposite side from the bank where #1 cylinder is located, see firing order diagram below.
