The bolts for the valve cover are atop the spark plug chambers. Locate all 4 spark plug wires, remove them and you will notice large bolts around the top part of the spark plug chamber. You may use an adjustable wrench to loosen. It is very easy and takes about 15mins to perform.

Why I can no remove valve cover in corolla 1994,I

if you have every thing removed that can stop the v/c from coming off then these have a tendency for the rubber gasket to stick and you have to hit the cover with a rubber mallet some times fairly hard to get it unstuck.

Easiest way to check timing belt

If you simply want to check the timing belt condition, then remove the plastic cover and visually inspect it. If you have the 5 sfe engine, the timing belt cover is a 2 piece assembly, upper and lower. if you have the 7 afe or 4 afe engine the timing cover is 3 pieces and to inspect the top of the timing belt you must remove the 4 nuts holding the valve cover down and the 2 bolts holding the wire loom. remove the whole valve cover. to inspect timing belt condition.

How to fix a front leaky oil seal in a 1995 Toyota Camry LE

Three seals to check. easiest is the valve cover seal. Number and remove the 4 wires going into your spark plugs. remove 4 nuts holding the cover and replace seal.
Next easiest is the distributor O-ring. Remove air filter assembly remove the distributor cap, then the distributor. With the valve cover still off, loosen the 2 bolts that clamp the distributor down. Remove the 2 terminal leads going into the distributor (4 wire terminal/2 wire terminal) Mark the case of the distributor and the case of the head with one line so you can line it back up on reinstallation. remove the 3 bolts holding the distributor down. Replace O-ring. replace distributor, align, tighten the 2 bolts, then tighten the 3 bolts. replace terminal wiring and cap. replace air filter assembly. Replace valve cover with new gasket. Place spark plug wires back into their proper places. The last one is the oil pan gasket. Drain all oil and remove all blots holding the pan. drop the pan and replace the gasket. Put it all back into place. Do not over tighten the pan bolts as this will cause the gasket to deform, making it leak again.

1993 camry 4 cyl. what is totally involved to replace tappets?

You have to remove the timing belt, the valve cover and the camshafts to replace them. You can just replace the shims on top of the tappets just by removing the valve cover and compressing the valve springs.

I had the same alerts come on for my 2006 RAV 4 3.5L

Valve springs only break when you over rev an engine.
Toyota does not make valve springs, but uses the same ones as most other cars.

Removing valve cover toyota camry

You need to pull the plug wires up and out of their tubes. They can get stuck so twist them left and right to help loosen them first. The plugs are in the tubes. Use a 5/8 plug socket to remove them. Around the tubes you will see large flat nuts. You will need to remove all 4 of these. Also on the top timing belt cover there are 2 10mm head bolts you will need to back out at least 1/2 way for 2 reasons. 1 to free up the wire harness that crosses there and the bolts extend over the valve cover blocking its removal. Then with a screwdriver pry up the metal washers and rubber seals that were under the large flat nuts. The pcv valve needs to be pried out of the valve cover in the center and then the cover will come off.
Reverse to install.

THIS is normal on a lot of import engines. you have a pcv valve that pulls vacuum on engine to **** out gases. when you remove the cap it is like a vacuum leak. if engine runs fine otherwise it is normal.
