Use scan tool to check the solenoid switchs if there is no fault than you have to replace the transmission valve body

Mazda issued a TSB (Technical service bulletin) on this same issue. I will try and post the link. It has to do with updating the PCM program. http://www.finishlineperformance.com/pdf/mazda6/bulletin/05-009-06-1721.pdf
