Question about 2004 Mazda 6

2 Answers

When I first start driving my 04 Mazda 6, it jerks real hard as I'm going into second gear. After the car has been warmed up and driven for awhile, it usually doesn't happen again. I had the transmission flushed a year or so ago. The car has approximately 76,000 miles on it. Is this something to be concerned about? What is causing this to happen?

Use scan tool to check the solenoid switchs if there is no fault than you have to replace the transmission valve body

Mazda issued a TSB (Technical service bulletin) on this same issue. I will try and post the link. It has to do with updating the PCM program. http://www.finishlineperformance.com/pdf/mazda6/bulletin/05-009-06-1721.pdf

My 2004 mazda mpv jerks to the left then straightens back out. This usually happens when I have to accelerate really fast or right about the time it shifts into the last gear.

Mike, this may be because the left wheel is the dominate drive axle (left axle locks up and pulls hard, while right side slips) when under power. Vehicles that do not have possie drive differentials have this pulling characteristic.

Clutch on my 2000 tiburon wont engage or disengage

If the pedal is operating the clutch and its not a hydraulic problem then you do the mechanics trick of the trade ,warm up engine then turn it off ,now selsct first gear -handbrake off and start car in gear and drive with foot on clutch ,jerk the car a bit with the throttle and the clutch will release in the first hundred metres or so ,well they normally do anyway

Have a mazda 626 98' when i start up my car it's fine but when i take off about a mile or mile1/2 its starts to shifts like a jerking, almost like it wants to come out of gear, there is no noise before

I assume since you mentioned the throw out bearing it is a standard. It could be a clutch issue but it sounds more like the transmission is low or dry on fluid. Even a Standard has fluid for cooling and lubrication. In an automatic low fluid will cause shifting problems in a standard it's not so much shifting problems as it is wear on the gears and slipping.

My 4WD, 1997 Blazer, does not want to go into 1st gear when I stop. And it will not go into passing gear(s), when I step hard on the gas.

not a happy story for you. The car will go into low cold only? and it will not go into low even pulling the gearshift all the way down? The clutch packs are ( welded) together and it's time for a full rebuild. If the builder doesn't find the reason for it to be in first and second at the same time ( valve body O rings leaking under hard pull) and fix it and test that it's fixed it'll do it again and maybe ( if driven hard ) real soon ( same day you start driving )

lets break this down ,there is a little sensor on the air intake known as the air filter [i hope you have changed] it detects the amount of air flowing into the engine.it can be faulty.2if your weather is good for a long time little rubber joints get dried up and like to make noises but sometimes its good to get them checked out, adrian
