Find radiator leaks on chrysler lebaron not coming from hoses

Posted by on

1 Answer

We can not find a leak over the internet

You will have to get involved & find it

On a 20 year old car,I doubt the radiator
is original. Even if it was,I would replace that,
even if it wasn't leaking,& go from there

Have you checked the water pump?

Replace radiator

Disconnect top and bottom hoses when engine is cold. Take out 4 bolts that hold on fan cowling and remove. Take out 4 bolts holding in radiator and remove. Install in reverse order, fill with your desired coolant and you are done.

I need photoes of radiator

Those hoses go from the transmission to the radiator. The radiator will have, along one side, two connections for the trans lines. The radiator has an internal plate that allows engine coolant to cool the trans fluid. The hoses from the trans should terminate to some metal piping with flare fittings that attach to the two ports on the radiator.

What are the hoses that come out of the radiator on a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country

If they are small metal hoses and they are leaking oil, then they are eather engine oil cooling lines or automatic transmission oil cooling lines. If they are larger rubber hoses and are leaking green or red fluid, then they are antifreeze/coolant hoses.

When i put water in the radiator it runs out the bottom of the engine and i don't know where its coming from

Water runs all over and can confuse you as to where it is actually coming from. Is the engine damaged? Did it recently overheat? It could be a busted hose, a cracked radiator, or a cracked engine block. You need to ask a buddy to pour the water in the radiator, while you look for the leak.

Where's the thermostat housing for a '93 chrysler lebaron 3 liter?

Open the hood and look at the top radiator hose. Follow it to the engine. That hose is connected to the thermostat housing cover. Its located right under that cap. Hope this helps

1994 Lebaron Convertible No Heat, High Temp Gauge

The heat is made in the engine so if the engine is overheated and nothing else is hot, the water is not moving.
I would have suspected a thermostat also.
I would guess now that you have a dead water pump.
