Hi,

In this car the system uses a type of waste spark system which is basically 1 coil fires 2 cylinders. The pairs are 1&4, 2&3.Did you get any code while scanning? Anyway the most probable cause for the 2nd and 3rd cylinders to misfire would be the coils in the coil pack are bad or a bad fuel injector or a leak in the intake valve. First verify with a leak down test. Most probably the head will require rebuild. But before that check for the code.

Got 2004 dodge stratus misfiring code says p2305 already changed coil and spark plugs and wires still misfiring

Who is doing the parts replacing?

Have you looked at Scan Tool Data & road tested?

Have you actually done any testing, to find a problem
& used the codes to component test

Till you answer that, I will say you need a repair shop

Lots of things cause misfires

Changing spark plugs & a coil or two ,based on a code,
is not doing the required testing to find a problem or the
need for parts just yet

My 1996 Taurus when I press the gas pedal when cold it sputters and lacks power. When it warms up it runs great.

Possible causes - Faulty spark plug 5
- Clogged or faulty fuel injector 5
- Faulty ignition coil 5
- Fuel injector 5 harness is open or shorted
- Fuel injector 5 circuit poor electrical connection
- Ignition coil 5 harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coil 5 circuit poor electrical connection
- Insufficient cylinder 5 compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Intake air leak

The P0305 code means that the cylinder 5 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks an if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 5. If the problem persist more tests needs to be done to diagnose problem, see "Possible Causes

When is the code detected? Engine Cylinder 5 is Misfiring.

When a misfire occurs, engine speed will fluctuate. If the engine speed fluctuates enough to cause the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor signal to vary, the Engine Control Module (ECM) can determine that a misfire is occurring.

Neither was the problem on a 2007 vehicle, still sort of new

You do need to change plugs every 3 years

I would change the Front Oxygen Sensors, if you have 100,000
miles on them---still not the misfire issue

The misfire is the ignition control module, if that is what you have,
since you mentioned plug wires, some motors have individual
ignition coils & they fail a lot on a ford

Those codes are of no use, their random misfires & misfire
on first 1,000 rpm when starting the motor

Have to diagnose each cylinder & any module issue

Whom ever did your work failed to do anything but replace
parts,no road test,no scanner data checking or code diagnoses

Don't go to the chain store or auto parts shops
Go to an old time local shop

I have 1998 ford windstar 3.8 which is misfiring on no.3 cylander I have replaced plugs ,plug wires, & no.3 injector it is still misfiring can anyone help with this

check to be sure number 3 coil is firing properly. a lot of times if a coil fails, you will see a burnt mark on bottom of coil. or just put another one on the vehicle.

Recurring #2 cylinder misfire.

Hello Mr Fixit...If memory serves me right, the PO352 B fault code would indicate #4 cylinder coil and PO352 A for #3. The
Possible causes ...faulty spark plug...faulty spark plug wire..faulty ignition coil pack..faulty PCM...open or short in wiring from PCM to iginition coil pack. To accurately troubleshoot and determine the problem you will need an oscilliscope and a diagnostic scanner. Without these you are basically guessing as to the cause.
The ignition control module is integrated into the PCM and a faulty ICM can definitely cause this trouble code...and i have seen my share of faulty PCM's.
Hope this helps and the best of luck to ya.
