The seam on a side plastic tank is probably cracked or damaged, and is the source of the leak-you will probably need to replace it, about $125 and labor plus some supplies like antifreeze, clamps, hoses.

I would check the clamps on the hoses ,and also for pin holes around radiator,if pin hole is located you can purchase some radiator stop leak at your local part store good luck

My1998 Monte carlo is leaking anti freeze and the temp gauge is all over the place and the car is driving like its tired.

It sounds like a radiator cap. However, double check the leak is not coming from the front of the engine block which would mean a bad water pump.

I have a 2004 Monte Carlo SS, while driving I lost all water and it over heated. turns out the frost plug at the front of the motor (block heater one) had blown out. I never saw any leaks on the ground...

your main concern right now is to replace the frost plug and while you are at it flush the engine then fill with proper anti freeze mix, you should be good to go

HOW DFO YOU DRAIN THE RADIATOR OF 2002 3.4l MONTE

it should have a drain plug on the inner bottom that twist out. If not the bottom rad. hose will be fine to remove. I drain the water, and then run water through it with the hose still off. Replace the plug or hose and put in a cooling system cleaner (prestone) and fill with water. Start the car and let run for until it reaches a normal running temp, keep running for 5 min. urn engine off, let it cool and drain water. I then flush it again with water to remove any rust or gunk left in. I do this until I see good clear water running out. Reinstall your plug or hose and fill with (anti-freeze) be sure to get the right anti-freeze, some take a different color. If you use 50/50, it will take 3-4 to fill or 1 straight anti-freeze with mixture of water until full. Good luck
