Hello, You should be able to order something from the major autoparts stores for this engine. Try or go online for Autozone, Advance, or You also may do good at J.C.

The Performance shops should have wiring for this block no matter which model car the engine is in. You can also get spools of sparkplug wires and make your own, just be carefull about the size of the boots for both ends of the wiring.

Your vehicle doesn't have spark plug wires . Has coil on plug ignition system . Eight individual coils sitting right on top of the spark plugs . An the spark plugs have the tendency to break in the cylinder head . Does your ford have the 5.4 L 3 valve engine . No fire to plugs

i would check the spark plug wires, sometimes they burn up on the inside and you cant even tell by looking at them. check the spark plugs themselves and make sure the gap on each plug is in spec that could cause no spark as well. after that, distributor cap??

When I accelerate, the car has a hard time getting up to speed and the service engine lights flashes three or four times then stops

Without using an OBD scan tool to read the computer error codes causing the CEL to come on, the best guess is that this could be as simple as a misfire due to old or defective spark plugs and wires, or even possibly just a loose spark plug wire. Check that all the spark plug wires are attached securely. If yes, you should consider replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires, You can do further diagnostics by pulling the spark plugs and inspecting them, and also pull the spark plug wires, inspect the terminals, looking for signs of wear or corrosion, and test each wire with an ohmmeter to verify that its resistance is in spec. If you replace the spark plugs and wires and the problem persists, let me know and we can take it from there.

Diagram of the motor

Don't need a diagram for that!

Just follow any of the spark plug wires, one end goes to the spark plug and the other to the coil.

Good Luck.

What is the firing order for the 1994 ford taurus 3.8 engine, have just replaced cap and rotor, need order, thought I marked them but engine will not start. Perhaps I was wrong in the order.

Not trying to insult your intelligence, I'm going to get pretty basic here,

Looking at the Front of the engine, the spark plug order is 1, 2, 3, and 4. Front to back.

Looking at the distributor, it has two mounting screws for the distributor cap. One is close to the engine, the other screw is on the other side.

Looking at the distributor cap screw, on the Far side away from the engine, Number 1 spark plug is on the tower to the Left of it.

To the right of this distributor cap screw, is Number 2 spark plug tower.
The rotor turns clockwise.

Again, looking at the distributor from a top view, there is a distributor cap screw at the top, (Close to engine), and a distributor cap screw at the bottom.

Drawing an imaginary line from the top screw to the bottom screw, Number 1 spark plug wire goes to the Left, of the bottom mounting screw.

Firing Order is 1-3-4-2
The rotor turns Clockwise, (To the right)

I have a 2001 Ford Windstar w/3.8 V-6. The codes state that #5 cyl has a misfire. I just changed the plugs, put new plug wires on & installed 4 new O2 senors. What else should I be looking for?

Double check the plug wires, if the boot to the plug wire was not installed with spark plug boot lube. It may have pulled away from the plug just enough to make it a bad connection. Go back and push on the plug wire boot to the spark plug and make sure the wires are routed properly and not touching anything other then the separator that hold the wires in place. The other thing would be a dirty injector ir an bad wire to the injector. Start with te plug boots and routing. Good luck friend, I have a Montana and same thing here, take me longer to ensure that all the plug wires are set then to replace the plugs.

How can i change my spark plugs on my fiesta mk5 1.4 16v

look up by the fuel rails and you see these funny looking things normally they have two wires on them and the spark plugs are under those and in most cases you have to remove the fuel injecter rails in order to get access to the plugs
