SOURCE: Sometimes can't get reverse gear Audi A6 2004 Auto 1.9TDi UK

Unless your shade tree mechanic is an Audi expert, go to the dealer who has all the books and diagrams that tell the tech exactly where to look. The other guy may want to replace something just to troubleshoot and the factory tech should know exactly what to replace or which plug is loose.

SOURCE: Prob's with my Audi A6 2003 Auto 3.0 V6 (gearbox)

Doubt it as the fault suggests you need to look into the range sensor. If similar to Renault there is a switch on the gearbox that senses where the select lever is (at the gearbox end). If the display is wrong then the sensor needs looking at and either it will need to be adjusted into a set position by moving it, or perhaps the connector to it or wiring to/from it have a fault.

HI I HAVE A AUDI A4 1.8T 2011 MY EMMISION LIGHT WENT ON AND I DONT HAVE OIL READINGS CAN I STILL DRIVE THE CAR

No I would not crank the car. If you do not have oil pressure reading then it can cause catastrophic engine failure if you crank or drive. Have you checked the oil level via the dipstick? and if so what was the level?

What does this mean? <3

It is a symbol for a heart. Commonly used in place of the word, "love" example:

"I <3 you" = "I love you"

(>'-')> hope that answers your question <('-'<)

Audi missing at idle, engine smoke, and vacuum leak

audi oil leaks are usually valve cover gaskets. oil run off causes smoke on exhaust downpipes.while vacuum hoses do tend to dry rot with time it may also be the secondary air injection pump (if cold ) or waste gate for turbo.try to use a long hose, put one end on your ear use the other to locate sound. extending mirror and light may help too. missing at idle could mean time for tune up or coil pack failing. good luck

Audi A4 coolant problem topping up coolant but still over heating and more coolant needed

Many cars have a bleeder valve to let out air pocket from the cooling system. Fill the radiator, with the cap off, let it idle at about 1500-2000 rpm's until it reaches normal operating temp. on the gauge, then the thermostat will open allowing the coolant to circulate throughout the engine and radiator. any air will then be gone after about 10 minutes at a fast idle. Top off the coolant, replace cap and recheck the level after a short drive of a few miles and has time to cool.
If there is enough trapped air in the system, you will have no heat. The heater box loves to trap a lot of air in it as its like a tiny radiator itself.

This is a really bad idea - you're going to be the first suspect in it anyhow, given that you are not together anymore and that it sounds like the breakup was his choice. Don't go down this road.
