08 Silverado, recently the radio started goingbin and out. Now it’s completely. Checked all fuses. No power to harness behind radio. From time to time the radio will come back on.

Which sound system do you have? The wiring diagrams are many. Did you check voltage at proper fuses, use a test light. Maybe the harness connector at radio is faulty? bbbind.com has free wiring diagrams.

98 eclipse speedometer moves with the sound of the radio

Either:
Best guess is it has been mis-wired or
Earth cable is not properly connected or
there is a short from one of the speaker cables to some other wire
or
radio is taking excessive current (unlikely) or
the voltage regulator is faulty.
Start by removing the radio speaker wiring one bit at a time and also any associated wiring that may have been modified by the installer (should be obvious if installer has added connectors)
Make notes/take photos before you disconnect. Check as you go along to see if anything changes.
You should try to get a wiring diagram to see if all is connected as it should be.
Alternatively take radio out and re-install it from scratch.
If it still does it after rewiring/reinstalling, make sure wiring hasn't been modified, try a different radio, if still faulty measure volts at voltage regulator with fault present.
My guess is it's been miswired

Wiring for radio

generic wiring schematics seldom match the OEM wiring as to get the diagram the book publishers have to virtually strip down a vehicle as the diagrams are copy write protected. IN many cases the manufacturers of the vehicles change wiring harness suppliers and the OEM schematics will vary to your vehicle. When in doubt take it to an installer and have them fit it as diy people generally install incorrectly and produce faults in the CPU program

2007 Toyota Camry When I put disk in the CD player after about 30 seconds of it flashing saying reading disk it then shows an ERROR 1!?? Any help??? Thks

It can be dirty or faulty disk, but if that's not the case the problem relates to cd player lens. Its not reading the disk. The inside lens which reads and detects the cd is either got dirty or its faulty and unit has to be replaced.-------So whether is dirty lens or faulty that can be confirmed once the unit is inspected.Try running lens cleaning cd in your cd player unit and see if that is helping.========For more help i suggest refer the help links mentioned below:------

The radio and the cd turns on but no sound comes out after having the battery replaced. The vehicle is a 05 Mercury Mariner

radio runs off two power wires, one full time power and one switched power check to see which is working. turn the key to acc. and see if power stays on with car off, check all fuses. open the hood and look at battery cables, look to see if everything was hooked up right and if there is a amplifer in your car could be a fuse on the line to the amp either next to the battery or next to the amplifer.

Clarion stereo in1997 mercury marquis wiring hook up to amplifer

make sure the speaker wires in the car do not have one side grounded.the output on the clarion is a floating output and cannot be grounded.the best solution is to look at the wiring on each of the speakers, and match them out to the ones on the clarion.the most common colr code is white front left, gray front right green rear left and purple rear right.each speaker has a plus and minus.mixing them up will result in the speakers being out of phase and result in poor bass performance.i would wire the wires directly to the clarion using crimp connectors.the first thing i would do is power up the stereo out of the car to 12 volts, and using a speaker make sure you have sound coming out.the yellow wire which is the clock/memory is a must to be connected to constant 12 volts or no sound can result
