Chain the engine/transmission to a bar across the body/ hood to support it. Remove ball joints nuts, support the rack and pinion (straps) and remove the bolts from the frame. Disconnect and bolts or plastic buttons holding the power steering and /or brake lines. Remove the nuts for the transmission and engine mounts going through the frame. Remove the frame.. Use 2 people If you don't have the jacks or supports to lower the frame by yourself.

You really need a manual to do this job. Some one experienced takes 8 to 12 hours to do it. You have to drop the steering column, remove the entire dash, remove the dash frame, and remove the air plenum. Good luck.

General instructions for door panel removal; Door panels are attached to the door frame with clips such as the one above. The ribbed, screw-like part of the clips are inserted into holes in the door frame around the perimeter of the sides and bottom of the panel
Auto Repair Mechanics How to Remove Car Door Panel

The video shows details of door panel removal. First locate all the screws on the door panel, usually at the door handle and door rest. Look for any hidden screws that may be covered with small plastic caps.

After all screws are removed, the side and bottom clips need to be popped out of the door frame. You can purchase a set of trim tools to pop the clips, or you can use flat blade screw drivers and a flat putty knife to pop the clips out. Sometimes the clips break, but they are replaceable. Once the sides and bottom are loose, the top of the panel is loosened by lifting up on the panel, disengaging the panel from the top track on the door frame. Be careful of wiring connectors, which will have to be disconnected to completely remove the panel.

How do I take a tranmission out of a 2004 Chev Impala(police car)

Hello: First you have to support the engine from the top, you have to raise car, remove sub frame after you remove wheels lines, electrical connectors wheels etc. After removing sub frame remove bolts holding converter to flywheel remove bolts holding transmission to the engine. (NOT A BEGINNERS JOB)

Have a transmission jack to hold the transmission when you take it loose from the engine.

Does motor and transmission come out from top or bottom

the engine and trans are mounted to a K frame , and it is easier to service them by removing the car from the k frame and rolling the loaded K frame out from under the car.

Though , some people doing the engine alone.. would say it is easier (due to rusty bolts under the car etc.) to go thru the top to service the engine.

I want to no the position and location on valvebody

The valve body for the transmission? It's located inside the side cover on the left (drivers side) side of the transmission. You have to remove the left front wheel and get the axel shaft out and drop the sub frame down it's quite a job. You have to take the trany about half out of the car to get at it. What is the problem, why do you need to get to the valve body?

Transmissions never come out from the wheel well. You need to remove the sub-frame and let the transmission out from the bottom.
