I have a 1990 Dodge Ram 150 with the 318 engine that the coil isnt sending fire to the dist...But the coil is good. Could someone help?

Could be a bad coil, or a bad pickup coil inside the distributor, or worst case a bad pcm.

You said the coil is good, but didn't mention if you had tested the coil's primary and secondary circuits with an ohmmeter to see if they are within specs? And the pickup coil is like a crank position sensor: it tells the pcm crankshaft position and rpm so the computer can determine spark timing.

Firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2.
Cylinder locations: left front bank-1-3-5, right rear bank:2-4-6.

I have a 1990 nissan sentra that will crank but wont start no fire from coil

Check for power on the + side of the coil with the key on Then using a test light check for a "pulse" on the negative side of the coil by attaching the clamp side of the test light to ground and the point to the negative side of the coil while cranking. If there is no pulse then it most likely needs a distributor. If there is a pulse but no spark then it needs a coil.

My 1990 jeep wrangler yj has no spark, I replaced the coil, cps, wires and plugs distributer cap and rotor is new. Still no spark.

You need to do a engine control module fault code test, it should have a code, most likely for the crankshaft position sensor above the starter motor in the bell housing. Here is how to run the test with codes listed.

1990 ACURA 1.8 no SPARK

Have you checked for power at the coil? With key on, you should have power at the B+ connector to the coil. If power there, it may be a bad pick-up coil, but that's just a guess. I think it is inside the distributor.
If no power to the coil, start checking the ignition switch for power in and power out (when key is in run position).
Good luck.

No start on old gasoline forklift engine.

most likely the ign switch is ok if you are getting spark. so you have a hot spark at coil and weak fire at plugs? if you have a test light check the positive side of coil for power when turning key on and cranking. if it is dropping power on positive side then ign switch could be bad. can "hotwire" coil by jumping a wire to positive side of coil to pos of battery this will eliminate ign switch.

No spark 350 chevy tbi

You need power on both sides of the coil with key on engine off. With test light on neg side of coil you should get flashing light with engine cranking. No flashing indicates no trigger from ign module. No flashing can also mean the pick-up is faulty. To check pick-up dissconnect from module and use analoge meter set on ohms.Check meter movement during crank. If o/k check rotor for burn through.and change module.

Spark plug firing order

check the ignition coil power source...get a test light & check for power with the key on @ the positive side of the coil...if it does have power have a friend crank the engine over & check the negative side for a flashing light..if it does then make sure you have spark @ the coil if not replace the coil
