2001 Mitsubishi Galant leaks water inside when running A/C. Dealership has said algae/mold grew inside and they chemically treated it. It blew black stuff all over the interior for two weeks afterward but didn't leak for a year. Next summer had same problem. It used to leak on the passenger side, then stopped on the passenger side and started on the drivers side. The dealer wants about $250.00 to flush it out again. I tried to put a wire into the drain hole on the fire wall from the engine compartment side. Very difficult to get to and didn't do any good. Carpet is trashed and floorboard is next. How can I get the water to drain outside?

I had the same problem. Our heater core was full of leaves, so the whole dash had to be disassembled to get to it. They cleaned out the leaves and it works great. Expect about a $700-800 repair.

Hello, did you ever find a solution because I have the exact same problem?
I also have the same problem. Same year. It happened about a year ago and the dealer charged me $100 and said a drain hose was plugged. I am unable to find this hose? I hate feeding another $100 to the dealer.
We have the same problem. When the ac is running, water accumulates on both sides of the floorboard. Suspect it's a plugged drain line. How do we fix this?
