The is nothing wrong with the cable, you need to check the motor in the door if its unplugged are wrong..But its definitely the motor I had the same trouble with mine...

Cable replacement for window on 02 chev 1500

i assume its your drivers or pass window. if the cable broke you will need to replace your window regulator. you may be able to buy just the regulator and save some money. Most now a days come with regulator and motor so ask you local auotparts or check online. i can walk you through replacement if you need it.

I replaced the driver's side window motor because

I don't know everything there is to know about window motors, but I have seen this before, both mine went out at the same time, not together but a couple weeks apart, like they were dated. Anyway, I replaced both motors, then both operators. Now they both work fine. I would hang on to the old motor, you never know, it might be good, You might have a bad switch on the door, I had to take my switches apart on my other truck and clean the contacts, got both motors working again, Hope this helps.

Driver side window not going up fully on my Audi A4 Cabriolet 2002, it eventually will go up by pressing the button gently. Sounds like a cable breaking or broke, but if so how is the window still able to...

There really is no cable. The power window runs on tracks inside the door, which is attached to a motor which is also inside the door. It's very tough to get to to fix it, lots of screws and you would need to take the door panel off. It's not something I even try to fix myself, and I consider myself very mechanically inclined. I have replaced a window motor once, and took a large chunk of meat and skin out of my finger in the process. Hope it helps. If you want to try fixing it yourself just know, it's VERY complicated.

Slow power windows

More than likely , but try some silicone spray down sides where window slides up & down, (felt) it may help lessen the load on the motor. I have extended the life by removing door panel & lubricating all the slides & guides the window runs up & down on. It may buy you some time anyway.

Driver side window will not operate

Likely the regulator is cable drive and has had some plastic peice break and not the cable is all wrapped up on the motor and such. If you unbolt the regulator (mechimism that rolls the window up and down) you can get the glass down to where you can unbolt it. then raise the glass up and tape it in place. Now you either can replace the regulator yourself or take it an auto glass shop and have them do so.

Rear Passenger Window (Drivers Side) will not go down

Hello, To check to see if its the motor or the switch is simple. Turn the ignition switch on and turn off all noise making things, radio etc. Open your door that has the problem and operate the window switch while you have your ear against the door panel. Listen carefully, you should hear a slight click as you operate the switch. Make sure that the child lock is not on. If you hear it click, the window switch is good and the motor is bad. If it doesn't click, the switch is bad.
If the motor clicks but has no movement you will need to replace it. It comes as an assembly with the regulator. You can not buy the motor separately.
You do not need to take to a dealer for repair but whoever does it needs to know these cars.
I hope this helps.
