Ok there are a couple of things to check, first the is to check your fuses for power and also check the relays to make sure thay working the best way to do that is to swap them out with a known good relay, another thing to check is to make sure your cooling fans are working and you can do this by turning on your A/C to verify both cooling fans are running at high speed if thay do not turn on tap the back of the fans motor to see if it turn on, If it starts to turn and then stop the you have to replace what ever one is bad. Good luck!

Have an 03 chevy impala runs hot but radiator cap is cold can put water in it and leaks out

What is your question? You should not operate a vehicle that overheats. You should not put just plain water in a cooling system for a car. You can see the leak? You should get it fixed before any more damage happens to the engine. Failure to keep the engine cool can cause a host of problems and none of them are cheap to fix.

I have changed my thermostat and waterpump but my 2004 chevy impala still runs hot.... why is that???? its a 3800 engine

Your rad may be blocking up. Make sure the flow of antifreeze is adequate through the rad. Check for loose fins & debris in front of the rad also. Remove the rad cap when cold & allow to heat up to operating temperature. Observe the flow when the thermostat opens. Check the serpentine belt for wear & replace if needed. If the flow is inadequate, replace the rad. Good luck!

Ive got a 323ci bmw on a 2000 plate with 23000 overheatin

repl temp sensor. run 12v to motor, does it run? could be resistors, they're hidden all over the car, thanks to the ******* engineers that put this piece of **** together. or the fan blades could be blocked.

radiator clogged, did someone put stop-leak in it? Remove thermostat drill two 3/16" holes in it 180degress apart, install 12 degree cooler thermostat.

check to see if fan clutch is working properly.

Temperature gauge red lined then dropped back down

more than likely but if the temp gets to high you run an extremely high risk of blowing a head gasket or warping or cracking the head.So have it changed out before driving the car much more and also have the water pump checked.
