You can not adjust rpm's, it is controlled by the engine computer. if you idle is not right, either your throttle position sensor is not right, or your idle air control is malfunctioning, although there can be numerous other causes for erratic idle (vacuum leaks, throttle body or air filter needs servicing, etc.).

    the mounting holes on the throttle position sensor are oblong to allow for adjustment. you can loosen the mounting screws and turn the sensor to make adjustments to the rpms. you will see a white mark on top of the sensor, this is the factory preset, do not vary to far from this mark as the adjustments are very sensitive. a suggest you make the adjustments while the car is running so you can hear how it effects the rmps. It is very easy to get to, it is at the top of the firewall on the passengers side of the car.

Hi i have a 2002 hyundai xg350l while driving the car accelerates without depressing the pedal further, in park when i reach 4000 rpm the rpm shoots up to about 4500 rpm without depressing the pedal...


I'd say sounds kinda like a missfire although with the absence of an engine code I would lean more towards a vacuum leak somewhere. Chk all your lines while cars running to see if you might have a vacuum leak.

I need to replace the rear struts and would like step by step instructions...i have a 2002 hyundai XG350L


WOW STEP BY STEP! well its not hard im 19 and i have a hyundai xg350L and i change my rear struts by my self with two jacks. one to lift the car, and one to jack the spring and strut back up and under the car. then one vice grip and one pliers to take the nut off the strut and remove it from under the car. you will also need a rench to remove the bolt at the bottom of the strut. IT MIGHT BE A LOT TO DO BUT IM ABOUT TO REPLACE MY SPRINGS AND STRUTS AND REAR WHEEL BEARING AND I WILL POST IT UP AS A INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO ON YOUTUBE.

Fuse box layout


First of all, Hyundai did not produce the XG350 until 2002. You wrote 2001 Hyundai XG350L. The engine in the 2001 is 3.0 (XG300). Cant help you.

Where would I find the blower/fan relay on a 2005 Hyundai xg350L?


It would be under your glove box. if your blower motor only blows on hight you need a transistor it is in the same location under the glove box.

your gear selector switch is our of adjustment.  Also on this car do you need your foot on the brake to start it?  if so check the adjustment on that switch
