Follow the top radiator hose back to engine and thats where the thermostat housing will be.

Could be an actuator motor under the dash that opens and closes the door. It will be located on the heater plenum.

Help please need to change thermostate


OK FOLLOW YOUR TOP RAD, HOSE TO YOUR ENGINE THAT WILL BE THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING ON A 3.4 IT IS BEHIND EXHAUST CROSSOVER PIPE THE BOOK CALLS FOR YOU TO TAKE THIS OFF. ONCE YOU GET IEXHAUST OFF THERE IS TWO BOLTS ON THE HOUSING PULL THEM PAY ATTEN. TO WHICH WAY THE THERMOSTAT IS SETTING (VERY IMPORTANT) THEN PUT TOGETHER IN REVERSE. P.S I HAVE DID THIS WITH OUT PULLING EXHAUST PIPE.

If you mean that the brakes are locking, then check brakes calibration and brakes fluid level.
If the engine is failing or stopping try to understand if it is a distribution or a fuel problem.
If it always happens at same gauge and speed it is probably something related to the electronic injection module. Best thing to do is going to a garage and having ECM (electronic control module) scanned, this will return error codes that can tell you what the problem is.
